I remember reading Martin’s tweet and having a mini heart attack. Thinking this would be my lucky break, lol. Absolutely insane. The local DMV would do a better job with communicating and paperwork

Yikes at the condescending attitude. It’s a $100k+taxes truck that people have to plan around liquidity-wise, as well as selling their current car.

My best guess is there were a lot of people who didn’t read the program rules or tried to cheat the system, and they had to filter through those.
She's not wrong. The questions were painful to read.

"Early Delivery program? There was never an Early Delivery program. For shareholders? With 500 shares? LOL"
I do not know what this BS YouTube thing is all about but I do not appreciate it littering this forum. I also do not know who is being quoted above so that makes the quote worthless (it is probably worthless anyway if not from Elon or Martin).

I would appreciate the naysayers of this program holding their tongues at least until the next quarterly meeting. I will submit a question about the program if no one else does and see if there is enough interest to get it asked.

I read it the same way.
In addition to having a ton of equity tied up in the company. A little notice seems reasonable.
Tangential question, what does it mean when your name has a strike through it and the word "banned" underneath? That said, why should you having "a ton of equity tied up in the company" be relevant to this program/discussion beyond the 500 shares needed to qualify?

I am guessing that you do not appreciate succinct and straight forward answers, because that is what @Crissa was providing. Succinct and straight forward is not condescending. Maybe you preferred @ctrick s response better which, although entertaining and fun, had no content.

Sometimes it's a TOS violation, such as an out of line personal attack or obscene language. Sometimes it's someone who got caught lying and/or having multiple aliases to deceive the forum. Have you noticed any other old faves with a similar style of misinformation who aren't searchable anymore? ?

More arrogance and attitude for people with a serious problem trying to plan for the truck and frustrated. Regardless, if those said people didn’t apply to try to get around the system, we wouldn’t be waiting this long I think. I wonder why people would try to cheat the system knowing they didn’t have the shares and waste time?

More arrogance and ...
I gave you quick, and as far as we know, most factual answers.

I don't understand this 'prepare' comment. Tesla will tell you when you've gotten VIN, when they've gotten a date, etc.

  • No VIN? You know you're probably more than a month or more away.
  • VIN, no delivery date? Well, you're probably a month away, but it could be three - depending on whether your state is ready or how many other orders were in front of you.
  • Delivery date? Well, you're probably within a week - the date would tell you.

What are they supposed to say?

"I'm sorry sir, we don't know if you qualify yet. Also, we don't know how many others will qualify or are in the queue in front of you and we also we don't know how many trucks we'll manage to make or how many will qualify for the early delivery program."

Yes, but none of these are factual. They could be planning an event for everyone to take delivery over a few days or something. There is no knowledge and that is the frustration with the program.

Also, I didn’t ask any questions other than why you applied?

They could be planning on giving out balloons, too, but since they didn't say they were, perhaps it's silly to posit something they didn't say was going to happen.

We have knowledge. It's an early delivery program. They've done it before. We know what the web page said, and what emails we've been sent collectively.

Also, I didn’t ask any questions other than why you applied?
You is plural. You read the post, hence, you are part of the group I gave answers to. Also, I don't usually bother to double check who's saying what, either a post is worth replying to or not on its own merit.

I didn't intend to apply. It was a mis-click. There was no confirmation window.

I put in my order last week with an April-June delivery estimate. Today I was at the Colma showroom to measure the back seat floor space, frunk, rear lockable storage, and console and someone asked if I have CD an order in and when I expect delivery and I said around the end of June. But the order confirmation clearly said it is only an estimate. If indeed this delivery acceleration becomes a reality and can get me a truck in June I’d be happy.

@Crissa try to get around the system? Not from my experience. How many @Crissa posts or responses have you read? Maybe we should focus on our collective frustration about the general la know transparency with anything Tesla. They don’t have to be transparent and we don’t have to like it.
