Just doing some truck things today, but the load was just a bit too long to close the tailgate. After sitting in traffic for over an hour, I really missed FSD.

While charging, I decided to try something. I manually spun both side tailgate latches into the locked position so the truck thinks the tailgate is closed. FSD worked without any issues, even though the rear camera was pointing straight at the ground

Not saying you should try this, but it definitely caught me by surprise!

So @Urander, what’s the best use of the tonneau in the setting of a cap. Particularly an enclosed one. What kind of cool things have you seen people do with it? Mostly a shelf/divider type thing?

Yep, that’s right. If you have something wet or dirty under the roof like snowboards or skis, or valuables in the bed that you do not want visible through the 50% glass, closing the tonneau cover helps. Most people do not use the tonneau cover anymore once they have the cap. Actually, we have a lot of long range trucks getting our cap since they do not have a tonneau cover.
