what is the pricing going to be?

difference between the flat panel rack and fhe camper rack just seems to be end cap, correct?
less of a range hit to have open end even with a rtt mounted correct?

seems like your most aero option would be flat panel rack with upcoming clamshell tent that is 3” thick.

The flat panel rack will be $2,374 if you subscribe the email and comes with a free 50” 48v light bar. And yes, that’s the only difference.

Actually if you mount the 7-inch Z Tent at the rear of the rack, it might not be too bad aerodynamically than the 3-inch full length tent that covers the front of the rack - since some of the airflow can follow the slope of the roof glass and tonneau cover before hitting the tent. That might be one reason why mounting a tent at the front of the shorter rack could lead to higher Wh/mi. We’ll have Wh/mi data for both tent setups by the end of July.

I’m still a bit confused on either selecting the MOLLE vs the Flat Panel rack for best efficiency and mounting my Mars tent at the rear end (want to avoid blocking natural light in the cabin)? What am I missing? Modularity for 270 awning?

The Flat Panel Rack is the most efficient option. The 270 awning mounts to the top crossbar, not the side MOLLE, so you’re not missing anything there.

Here’s a test video from one of Cybertruck owners in CO using the Gen 1 Flat Panel Rack. The Gen 2 Flat Panel Rack will include side storage accessible from both inside and outside, plus an interior MOLLE panel?

And when you say full length does it mean full bed or also on top of the cabin. Would it have similar amenities from the skylounge? Only reason I didn't order it was because of the thickness/range hit of 10in vs 3. I can still cancel my other tent order though

Yes, it’s a full bed setup that also covers the cabin. Unfortunately, it will block some natural light for the rear seats. But the upside is much more legroom and tent space. Most regular length wedge style tents are tight near the front hinge area, so if you’re tall, your toes might end up hitting the inside of the tent shell ?

Ours is long enough to avoid that, and the base can be pushed up from underneath so you can stand inside the bed as well. It will also be priced lower. We’re aiming to release it in late July!?
