Looking at buying a used FS AWD here in Canada. Lots for sale in local area but they are advertised as same price as a new inventory unit - 139k CAD. As if sellers still think there is some lack of supply. What is typical price you are seeing? My gut says 120k would be a good deal given inventory units now include 5k wrap

They were purchased at 147k CAD. I wouldn't even consider less than 130k, but that's just me. 120k seems silly, you can get a brand new non FS for that without FSD
Unless it has high miles, I don't see 120k for an FS AWD realistic.

How so at 147k? Pretax it is 137990 plus destination fee so 140k plus tax. That 140k now includes an Xpel wrap voucher so call it 135k.. hence why I am thinking 120kish is fair (tax extra as here it is paid to licensing office).

Be sure to smash that "reply" button or I'll never know you replied xD

I was referring to what many that would be selling an FS AWD paid to begin with and the prices in the US market. 100k USD = 147k CAD, roughly, not including taxes, fees, etc., which is what most FS AWD owners in the US will have paid. With FSD, a non-FS in USD is $82500 ($121k CAD), which doesn't include all gateway, premium tires, white interior, if that matters to the buyer, of course.

All I meant was that FS AWD owners aren't going to want to sell their FS AWD in the $120k CAD range, that will be a hard find unless there's something wrong with it or it has high miles because it would be a huge loss to them. Here is the Tesla inventory of FS AWD demo drive vehicles in my area, again I can't really speak for the price in Canada: https://www.tesla.com/inventory/new/ct?TRIM=FSAWD&arrangeby=savings&zip=92376&range=200

ah gotcha. I didn’t realize you were using USD pricing and converting using exchange rate, I had a Quick Look at Carvana and few US used sites and see there are 2024 FS AWD at around 85 to 87k. This would imply about 12-15% off the new price. The used ones here aren’t selling either - same list for over a month and every couple weeks they drop price a bit. I will make some offers and see what happens

85k is a good price, I can't find any on Carvana under 90k. Also, be careful, they aren't mentioning anywhere on carvana if the truck is a FS or not. So just be sure before you give money to anyone if that's what you're after.

If you're in the market for a deal, I know the Silverado EV has had generally great reviews and is selling from dealers (careful) for $75k new, off of $98k. Pretty damn good price imo for a 440 mile range. I love FSD too much to consider it and I have borderline PTSD with dealership experiences, so it never really tempted me. Might be a good match for you, though!
