I’d love to have a lightweight, thin airless spare tire that could limp me home in a bind. I know that isn’t what they want to sell, but it would be the most appealing use for me.

I did not like how easy the back end lost tracking in the simply swerves... dry, flat surface. I have seen better from stock tires on a stock Camry doing autocross...

I’m kind of curious if you just toss these things in the bin when they are done or what?

Aside from not getting flat, what is the benefit here? Maybe if there were super cheap long term or more environmentally friendly?

There's projected to be more even wear over time. In comparison to current tires, whose inflation changes the camber of the tire as the temperature and pressure changes over time and during each use, and as wear changes the strength of the tire to hold its shape against that pressure.

I'm not sure if it works out, but I'd love to find out.

If you are neurotic about cleaning rims, look forward to the fun with unsealed edge airless tires.
Just imagine the poor bastards following me on the highway when I have these suckers properly loaded up with mud and gravel.

I’m pretty sure they will put some kind of token sidewall on them.

Exactly hence my comment about snow. And it will throw them out of balance
