Regarding hanging Y on display through the window. If Tesla hangs a CT body before my reservation is fulfilled, there will be words exchanged.

Hope the shoulder and move go well
I talked to Elon about this for you. It was a long drawn out discussion over tequila made by the same people who make Costco’s tequila, but 10 times more expensive because it’s in a Tesla bottle. Musk wouldn’t budge on hanging a Cybertruck in the window, so we agreed the best solution would be to just hang you along side it.

Ok I got a question.
Why are all four corners of the factory lopped off?
The building is not a true rectangle due to the corners not being square.
Is there a practical reason for this or is it just to make people like me ask questions?
Inquiring minds want to know.

Sorry to hear about that shoulder. Rotator cuff? Enjoy the time away, I and many others truly appreciate the dedication to bringing us the latest from Austin.

They save money by cutting corners.

I can answer your question... Do you know how large angle lenses distort right angles? What has large eyes? Aliens! They hate right angles which is why they build round things like ufos and moon pies. But it is really hard to build round corners on a factory so they just chopped off the corners.

I appreciate the answers.....comedy relief and all but I'm really interested in the design.
Any design engineers on here that can give some insight as to the lack of square corners?
It's not like we got anything else to do until our trucks get here.

Because when the corners are chopped off the factory looks like frontal view of Cybertruck even the angled windows (on either side of corners) in front mimics the headlamps of Cybertruck. So that's that.

I was going to point out that the factory design predates the Cybertruck. But maybe Musk sketched it out on paper when he was 12 so you never know where these things originate.

Does it?

The Texas one doesn’t predate the CT, but they are all similar. Shanghai shares that shape and I think was designed well prior to CT launch and was definitely not made with building the Cybertruck in mind.

Berlin similarly has little to do with CT.

Either Musk just *really really* likes the Cybertruck design and mirrors that in all his factory, or just likes those lines, or there is some other reason for it.

Maybe it’s the other way around. Maybe CT is an homage to the factory it’s built in.
