For you lucky bastards with scheduled delivery, do they drive it to your house or do you pick it up at the service center? I assume if you're trading in a car, you drive that to the service center and leave with the CT?

I pick up today in Seattle. I am not trading in - love my Model S with unlimited super charging and FSD! Have over 150k miles on it. Plan to keep to as long as possible.

Will take uber or have my son drive me there.

I’m having someone drop me off. Then I’ll drive the CT home.

I believe you have to be more than 100 miles from a delivery center, to take delivery at home. And, even then, they’d still probably have you pick it up at te closest SC.

Talked to a staff in lynnwood, my FSCT AWD with VIN 66XX made on 4/22, the accelerator pedal fixed in factory, now in transit, estimated be in lynnwood by 5/4.

BTW, where is the parking lot they store the CT?

I did offer to get one from Home Depot, but they said they have to follow it to exact spec and they are not allowed to deviate at all from what they need to use. I think this is what got them into this mess to begin with, so I don't think they will deviate from the specified process at this point.

From what I can tell, it's their supplier that deviated from the spec by using liquid soap to install the pedal covers, not Tesla.

That’s just wrong how they’ve taken full payment from buyers like yourself. I bet they would have figured out ways to get these delivered already if we were at the end of a quarter.

Don't be silly, Tesla has no way to "take" payment from the buyer, it's the buyer that determines when the payment is made and makes the payment. Tesla can't "take" it.

The engineering and build quality of this vehicle is other-worldly. People can barely believe what they're seeing when they first see it and then I demonstrate the adjustable ride height, the motorized tonneau cover and finish it off with a stout kick to the center of the door! People's jaws are hanging on the ground, they can barely comprehend.

I bought a used 2015 Model S with a 143K on the odometer back in November (had to start commuting for a job after working from home for multiple companies the previous 9 years). Paid $17.9K for it not accounting for the tax credit we got. Tesla offered only $8,500 trade-in. For that amount, i decided to keep it for now and try to keep the CT from racking up excessive miles from commuting.

I’m looking forward to seeing CT’s on the street (and trails)! I’ve only seen the two they’ve had at the Bellevue Square Mall in-person so far.
