It still works?
Sheesh! I have a seven-year-old Galaxy S8+ as my only phone (other than landlines) and it still works great, it even holds a charge all day long. I chalk it up to not leaving it charged to 100% very long and often I only charge it to 80%.

It always locks as I walk away. Sometimes I need to present the phone towards the vehicle to unlock, but I never have to do anything special to ensure it locks when I walk away.

In the past I've noticed that if I unlock the vehicle using a key card, it disables the walk away lock feature.

It's still driving me nuts. I've gotten VERY far away, turned bluetooth off, etc. and I can't seem to figure this one out. You guys that are having problems too, do you have Beasts or no?

Easy way to tell if your seat sensor works is by having your truck in gear with your seatbelt off and opening the door while in gear, it should present a roll away warning (and go into park) if it doesn't detect you. I was constantly having this happen, and also had issues with my phone auto connecting to bluetooth (not even thinking they were related), turns out they were. I have read that the ass sensors are notoriously faulty. Good luck.

Does your phone always connect to your vehicle when you're driving or do you sometimes have to manually connect it?

How far is very far?

What did the Security section say on the phone. Given the right conditions, Bluetooth can stretch a long way, given the wrong conditions, it can't go a foot.

There is nothing different as far as this goes between a Beast and an AWD.

Mine is a beast and it’s the passenger door issue. I took it into the Tesla shop and all they did was the stuff we could do at home reset the low-voltage system, reboot the computer, and reinstall the firmware which I already did all those things then they want to keep the truck for a couple of days so I just said no and took it back. I don’t have time for that. I will keep checking back with my guy at the Tesla service department and see if they come up with a service bulletin from Tesla that can tell us what the problem actually is. When my truck won’t lock if I go in the app and hit sentry mode, it says “sentry mode disabled make sure all the doors are closed” Then once I re-closed the passenger door then the sentry works and the truck locks when I walk away. My crappy workaround is to always go open and close the passenger door last so the truck will shut down and lock.

I will try this.

I've walked away so far that I could barely see my truck. Plus, I've turned off bluetooth altogether and it still doesn't auto-lock sometimes.

I think that after about 30 minutes it locks regardless of the situation if no one is in the seat.

That sounds as of the passenger door has a marginal sensor.

I have a Beast and I have 2 iphones (10 and 12MaxPro) and Walk Away Lock is intermittent for me. I haven't found the common thread yet for cause.
