15% planned reserve seems high. I usually plan to 5% or less and check there is a charger somewhere at the 75-90% leg distance that can be used as a backup. By that point on each leg, you’ll have a very accurate estimate of actual efficiency that day and see if your arrival % is trending up or down.
Basing this off of towing in a mountainous area with a new trailer and no history in such conditions with the truck. After several legs, would decrease reserve prob to 10%. I always like to error on the side of caution, but that's just me.

Getting very nervous on this and debating if I should pay a shipper.

I am looking on going from Sacramento, CA to Ohio. Could someone that has hauled a heavy trailer (5,000-5,500 roughly) give me some guidance? I'm not sure if the settings I have are valid - meaning, over estimating or under estimating based on the trailer size\weight. I don't have something comparable to test with on my side.

I will have a 5,000k generator, but don't want to be stuck on the side of a highway charging.

Driving out from Ohio, I would basically be taking route 80 the entire way. Return leg has me going further South. Not opposed to this; but do not want to go through LA and San Diego. I don't want to deal traffic and possible extremely sharp turns and would def. pay for shipping at this point.

Current route settings:
Departure % at 100%
Arrival% at 5% for buffer

Reference consumption @ 65 MPH at 1,200. No intentions of doing 65 nor do I know if this is too high\low for 65 for calculation purposes.

Realtime traffic on, maximum speed 55 and adjust speed.

Battery degradation = 5% and extra weight = 450. Buddy is coming with me, so maybe this should be higher as well.

Give me some honest opinions on this. Doable or better to pay for shipping on this?

One more edit - pick up date is mid April, so the temps should be a little warmer. Not sure how well ABRP takes into account colder temps with range and towing.

Modified the setting to prefer the most amount of charges, which makes this look a little more doable. There are two stretches in orange with the max driving speed of 50 MPH (had planned on 50-55 already), but not sure if the above energy usage settings are valid with possible terrain and temps? Depending on the time of day, it would <= 32° in this area and am assuming ABRP is calculating that too.

The first orange length is 115 miles and the other is 100 miles.
