More than one by now. In addition to the ballistic glass upgrades (you can see they were shot up a bit to demonstrate prior to the event) he does offer the polishing labor. He did tell me their first go it took 120 labor hours but they learned things and some better practices and got it down to 80-ish.

I saw three there with different badging. Two more were in the center tail gate to tail gate and had the DJ and a bass player. They accompanied the convoy as well playing or at least I saw them standing in the bed.

I did over hear the owner discuss the wrap with someone else, he mentioned the rear has the Hubbell deep field, and the Crab Nebula <?> ( I think he did speak of a nebula forming stars) and the front / frunk area ultimately is a representation of the Marianas Trench.

"Armored CyberGlass" and "Mirrored Cyber". For Austin, TX he said is offering the mirroring work out of Red Box Detailing. We spoke about Red Box as I had earlier gone to Red Box to have my truck windows tinted and they did excellent work.

They mostly offer detailing and cleaning restoration of unique and high end vehicles, and tinting services. I say unique and high end as that was the bulk of what I saw there being done.

At the Cybertruck Rodeo, there was another Mirrored Cybertruck with "Holm Team Austin" on it.

But concerning the original points, whether they get shipped direct from the factory, or go to a Tesla "dealership" first, they are still effectively direct sales and the cost is the same.

So I don't understand why there is a conversation about this above hoping for "direct sales." All Tesla are direct sales. That is what is confusing me.

you can use any adjective & verb but it's not smooth & seamless like in CO or many other Direct Sell permit/allowed states.

To purchase my Cybertruck, the transaction had to occur in California, and had to be paid in full prior to delivery. So I had to FedEx a bank check and wait for it to clear. The truck also had to be insured before delivery so that Tesla could request my plates. (I've no idea how I managed to insure a truck I didn't own yet, but I guess agents will happily take your money lol)

They didn't need to ship the truck out of state or anything crazy like that, but the process was far more complex than it needed to be.

Same here. It was a bit of chicanery to have the VIN in hand to insure, and arrange the money, but order could not proceed until it was insured. So it was a synchronization which involved me dropping the first VIN then getting a second one. Second one a more recent build so I was happy.

Was driven a whopping 18 miles from the Giga Factory to the Gallery, picked it up and done.
