HOLY COW! It took me a year and a half to get mine not quite that dirty. And I'm just one State over (Utah). And I live in a suburban town with lots of dirt roads too.Oh my; after only 4 months and 5K miles in Colorado (with off-roading)...
I save about 50% on an Amazon filter, and it works... but not as well as the OEM filter did. With the budget filter, I can often smell (albeit faintly) odors from significant pollutants outside. Even at half off, I think I'm going back to OEM for my next replacement. I will say this though, diesel fumes and dust (stuff you can see in the air) are still thoroughly filtered by the discount filter - it's only the invisible smells that manage to get through.

The wife and I, and five dogs, have driven our 2024 FS AWD VIN 7471 (that's TWO OGs now) From Canada in the North, to Mexico in the South, Washington in the West to Minnesota in the East... and pretty much everywhere in between. No issues with cooling until the air filter needed to be replaced. I've heard of the clogged intake issue but haven't experienced it yet.
And tint your four windows at least. It's not that expensive and does make a difference.
I live in palm beach county Florida, where it is extremely hot and humid Andy a/c freezes me and I’m more sensitive to heat than most people.
