Just curious. I feel like I don’t hear that much about the experience of owning one of these north of the border.
Is it very different? Are there a lot of superchargers? Are the tariffs making them impossible to buy? Is free supercharging a thing up there? Are there a lot of service centers etc. how expensive is home charging?
does navigation and FSD work well throughout Canada? I have many questions.
Please educate me.

Lots of superchargers . Everywhere . I am in BC . If I am not mistaken BC has one of highest uptakes of EV in the world .

My home cost of electricity is 6 cents per KW . All hydro generated as well .

FSD is perfect here .

Lots of service centres as well .

The uptake of EV s here in BC was 22.4% of all new vehicles sold . It’s dropped in 2025 though .

That’s not what I was expecting to hear at all. Is the inventory any different? Still have FS trucks? Did they come with free lifetime SC and 0% financing up there?

I was one of the first to get a cybertruck up here . So paid the full price and no free supercharging only three months free .

There was a period here of lifetime supercharging and good finance rates . Not sure if it’s still being offered .

Inventory is exactly the same .

lol I thought they might have had headlight washers given the brutal winter driving conditions up here but that’s obviously still a dream .

The should have at least put heating strips at the bottom of those two little narrow headlights

Pretty similar to the US, some areas have better charger and service center coverage than others. My area is smaller than say Toronto or Vancouver, so we were a bit slower getting a SS and charging coverage. But they've popped up like McDonalds' over the last couple years and the region is almost fully covered for charging now, and we have a SS. We need one or two more chargers to be able to fully drive the Maritime Provinces on the east coast. Home charging at my house is 0.13-0.16 per kWh so pretty good. Was about $8 to charge our Model 3. Gas is more expensive here, too, so the value is very good. It's $100 to fill my Challenger right now, and it's been more.

Tariffs are killing Tesla right now though. Current taxes are supposedly to hit US automakers, but they only affect Tesla, Rivian and Lucid. Elon is the target, the other two are collateral damage. Tesla started importing the Model Y from Germany though, so it's just their other models now. But a Cybertruck will cost an extra $25k so a fellow might as well wait until it's over. Very frustrating.

Probably good for people like you who already own a Cybertruck though right? Resale value surely bumped with this turn of events.

It’s all a big BS story . They promote going green etc etc and preventing global warming etc and then they place import tariffs on EV which prevents EV adoption . So sick and tired of this BS .

Duly noted. Its the same song and dance. Politicians say what whatever is convenient for them no matter what country you’re in. So it seems at least.

We need some COC to run for president.

I was hoping Elon was going to have the presidents ear and get some kickbacks directed at EVs, the opposite seems to be the case.

Anyway, interesting perspective from Canada.

May I propose an @mongo / @CT_AZ_4x4 ticket? In no particular order. If one gets assassinated the other will do just fine. @dalton108 for attorney general, @CyberGus as speaker of the house and @Cybergirl as Secretary of State. The guy with the bullet proof vest and Glock mount as secretary of defense.
I’m definitely out. Not interested. Who the hell wants to follow RFK and clean up that mess?
