What’s the difference anyway between FS and non FS, other than the etching? Can’t they change the quarter panel and move them? ?

They can replace the front fenders and tailgate with non-laser etched and boom - converted to non-FS! ? But I am pretty sure they will sell just fine.

My understanding is some non-foundation owners are getting lucky and receiving foundation series trucks if it’s available at their local delivery center
What actually happened is the impatient husband didn’t want to tell his wife that instead of waiting for his truck to arrive that he ended up spending another $20k to have his truck right now.

Apparently the FS and NFS are being built on the same line. My guess is that they may have switched over entirely to NFS due to the FS inventory and would just swap panels with the badging where necessary.

Profit for FS is high but I imagine at some point it‘s just better overall to get it out of the way and streamline / focus the line entirely on NFS and prep for a potential single motor variant.

IMO, with a lot of FS needing spare parts, they should take any unsold FS and use them as spare parts. Of course, I hardly doubt they will do this. There are only three areas where it is determined it is a FS, so all they have to do is replace those parts and sell them as non-FS.

There’s an overflow lot a block away from the Tesla Mesa AZ SC with two dozen foundation series cybertrucks. Production dates on them are generally late Sept / Early Oct but saw a few as early as August.

Anyone aware of where these are going? Strip FSD and fill non-FS orders maybe?

Surely demand in Canada/Mexico for FS is drying up?

What do you mean they’re probably already sold?

They should raise the price on them. It’s discontinued and a collector. You have to pay to play. I’m tired of Tesla catering to the masses.

Could Tesla, maybe, hold on to some FS in case someone is in an accident and wants their FS replaced with another FS?

It's time to dramatically DROP the prices on these vehicles. Their exotic appearance doesn't make up for the fact that they're difficult to drive and provide a very uncomfortable passenger experience.

That's probably a week or so worth of deliveries.
I suspect that there were many other Model Ys on the lot.
