I am absolutely in love with my truck (other than the PCS) and I drive a ton, but sometimes, my range seems to drop like a stone. This time, I decided to see if it made sense, and I must not be understanding the math..

I started yesterday at 100%. In the afternoon, my battery is at 49%, and I'd only driven 126 miles... There was no towing, etc..

What I'm not getting is the computer thinks I've used 46.6 kwh of my 123. That looks like I've used 38%, but the display shows I've used 51%...

Also, the wh/mile looks like my range should be around 297, doubling the 112 only gives 224.

Don't pay attention to the temp if you're in the snow!

What am I missing?
Thanks

Is ~450wh/mi accurate for most of use for this time frame?

I'd say lower.. The 414 sounds accurate to me..

So a few things: % and range are only actually loosely associated. 123kwh is the total battery capacity. Not the actual useable capacity.

your average drive efficiency is 469 wh/mile on your current drive or in other words for every mile you drive, you are using on average .469 kwh of battery, so that adds up for your use. This metric drives the expected range remaining. The more aggressive you drive, the colder it is, lower tire pressure, etc will all effect this number, so yes, sometimes your battery will “drain” faster than others, and that will correlate with higher than usually wh/mile.

in the summer i was averaging 300-330 wh/mile without towing. 470 wh/mile is higher than id expect for normal driving in an awd. Check the range tips in the apps, it gives some good graphs and how to make your efficiency better and more consistent. It even shows a live use graph for as little as last 10 miles

hope this helps

124 / 0.469 =264 (total mi in batt if continue to drive with this usage). You trip computer says 49pct of capacity used so:
264 * 0.49 = 129.36 mi driven.

Engery used while parked (like climate preconditioning, sentry, outlets) doesn't show up in the mileage usage.
The energy tab may give you more insight .

I'm starting to get it, but why is it showing I used 46.6 hours and show 49% vs 62%? Think I used that much juice on standby? I didn't have anything on but the standard stuff..

Phantom (idle) drain on the cybertruck is pretty bad, if you’re in a cold climate it’s abysmal. I hardly notice though because I plug in at home everyday, but worth noting for folks traveling or without home charger.

My CT has 40k. Been from Florida to Minneapolis twice. Texas 4 times. DC 4 times. Range is a dream. I have two S. One has 250k. First. I use it set on miles. Not %. That's to iffy.
Weather makes a difference. Best is around 65 to 70. Speed 68. AC 70 in summer, 65 in winter. My range on 100% trip is about 250. I never check in local because I drive crazy. I get about 175 towing a 7500 pound car load. But it's all a crap shoot.

Using the air system to heat the truck instead of just the seat warmers will add up too.
