I want to record bad people. I bought a USB drive at Staples but it does not fit. What do I need?

That looks perfect .
Unfortunately the drive that comes with the truck (in the glove compartment) has large male usb plug but the truck only has a micro female one, at least that's what I found.
Sorry for the confusion, I found the right usb outlet in the glove box. Nothing about that was mentioned in the manual!!!!!

Get a Samsung SSD off Amazon. I have one and it’s outstanding. Lots of room for recording and it’s fast.
+1. Have a T7s in my ‘23 3 and CT. A T5 in my ‘20. All have been reliable. <knocks on wood>

With all the craziness out there I am concerned and wondering if the Tesla supplied USB is sufficient? What is the benefit of an aftermarket larger USB and do I need to do anything other than plug it in? I have already filmed one person writing "Gay Truck" in the dirt on the side of my beast. Not sure how he knows the gender of my truck and incidentally he drives one of those hamster mobiles but either way I just want to make sure I have ample storage for sentry mode. The supplied USB seems fine but am I missing something? Thanks

The main thing is flash memory storage (like the Tesla supplied drive) has a limited number of rewrite cycles. SSDs should have a much longer lifespan and a lower chance of data corruption. The way I see it the problem isn't even in the amount of data that that's being recorded in terms of videos, but the fact that every time a file is being created or deleted the area of the drive holding the file allocation table has to be modified, and that's where those types of devices can fail.
