I don't use the auto-shutoff on the TC-BL (even if I my target pressure matches one of the shut-off pressure setpoints) because it pumps so much air there is always backpressure in the air hoses (created by the restrictions at the tire valves). If the compressor is running, the pressure in the air hose will always be significantly higher than the pressure in the tires. This is true with all inflators to a degree but most of them are so slow that the pressure differential is minimal. The TC-BL packs a wallop, it can fill the tires so quickly precisely because it creates significant backpressure in the hoses. The only way to measure the pressure in the tires is to turn off the compressor and let all the pressures in different parts of the system equalize. It only takes a second or two.And it has 5 PSI increments only, if you want anything in between, you need to air down manually.
