sometimes I have seen that the AQI reading is inaccurately displayed in the car. Check Airnow.gov and compare

Is anyone else getting crazy Air Quality Index numbers? My truck displayed AQI 460 when I got in this morning on a clear after rain day then while driving shot upto 789 now back to 460.

At those numbers we should likely have all perished. It’s most likely an issue with the feed. Check airnow.gov or Google Maps to compare.

It seems it’s fixed now. They called SpaceX and sent some particle pollutant scrubbers to cover the earth and clean it, all within the hour. These guys are real pros!

Seriously, why would you EVER need that number in the truck. Are people deciding to not get out of their truck if the number is too high? Do you run the Bio Defense Mode if the number is above 50? Do you drive to a different part of town to avoid higher numbers? No. It's useless. You may as well put the temperature of Mars at Curiosity's current location. It'd be just as useful to me. More so, actually. Then, I could make jokes about Curiosity getting roasted on Mars or freezing his little metal rover nuts off.

yeah... Crystal clear. Not the roads. Those were clogged with crap. Took me 2 hours and 20 minutes to make my 45 minute commute today. grumble grumble complain complain.
