Tax is stupid if you can print as much money as you want.

You should consider getting a Land Speeder. They pretty much weigh nothing and you can get a decent used one for around 2000 credits. The only drawback is they stopped making them a long time ago and they are typical far far away.
Ever since the new XP-38 came out they just aren't in demand.

Pardon me while I laugh from the front seat of a unibody 8,500lb Silverado EV. :) Of course some of that is stupid big battery weight.

I know what Cory said before he left, and while I understand there is a unibody center section, I really think the steel and castings have allowed that center piece to be significantly lighter than it might otherwise be.

Which means we agree that the CT will be lighter than most folks expect, I think between 6500lbs and 7000lbs
The pack on that Silverado EV is about twice as large ...

I don't see the dual motor Cybertruck coming in at a higher curb weight than the Lightning ER given what I previously stated, especially when you consider that across Tesla's existing vehicle range they are significantly lighter than the competition.

Will be interesting to see what the CT pack comes in at. I'm dying to see what Ford has for the Lightning II or whatever they call it. STellantis? I think they are gonna punt real hard with a low battery only but a range extending motor.

I bet this is not US. In US some idiot would drive thorough that tunnel and then sue the city and everyone in 30 miles radius and WIN!
For some background try this:

It seems the painting was in Brazil. And it was painted over before there were any actual crashes.

As for US drivers, no painting required. People drive into solid objects all the time because they are on their phones or otherwise distracted. A couple episodes of Wham Bam channels will give some examples in real life.

I'm going to have my garage door painted to look like an empty garage. It's easier than cleaning it
