Well, it's a type of lamination, and the windows on the Prototype were laminated, so... Probably?

-Crissa
The new Model 3/Y windows seem to be dual paned for noise isolation, and that is great. The CT windows are armored glass, which is a laminate but not the same as the 3/Y windows.

The 'dual pane' Tesla glass is a type of laminate. One placed where laminates aren't usually used, for an additional purpose than safety.

I think he's referring to the new windows that started shipping with double pane windows as seen below. IMO, the CT will have different glass all together that is stronger, so no need for the double pane.

It’s probably not the most durable choice for a work truck but it’s what Tesla does, for better or worse.
First principles: with an entire exoskeleton cum window frame how better engineered could an independent 1 ¼” channel and guide insert be more robust for work. The independent frame is a 50% free floating body when not seated against its door jam. That starts out being a weak cantilever design when half is unsupported in free space in open position.

A window accepts its non-structural role as UV, air, water and solid steel ball intrusion deterrent. Door closed the integrity of the glass benefits from an entirely better structure to seal against. We witnessed a broken glass at launch attributable to steel ball practice throws prior. The Armor Glass(transparent alum.) is impressive on its own taking several hits before spider-cracking.

A steel door frame would not change outcome if it was the exoskeleton at fault. Tesla implied the window attachment mechanism was damaged earlier. That caused the window to improperly seal against the exoskeleton. The steel door frame would suffer the same embarrassment if the fault was the window glass regulator base that failed to hold the glass secure.

I’m pretty sure Cybertruck windows will be laminated with 2 layers of glass and insulation between to block noise and heat from getting into the cabin (not double paned, that’s a different thing). They need maximum heat blocking because there is a such a huge glass surface. Also, I like a quiet interior so I sure hope they keep it.

Also, I like the no-frame windows. Just look nicer

Valid arguments but I am pretty sure the latest prototype would have them if they were going to happen.

The laminated windows are kinda like double-pane, having that squishy material between layers of hard glass.

Yep. It’s just different terms describing similar things. Wasn’t trying to get all pedantic and correct people.
