Yup, if one BAW is good, BAW BAW would be better. One on each side ( vertical on A-pillars).

Functionally better and the balance of one on each side is a better aesthetic look.

If Tesla doesn't offer a 2nd BAW to make BAW BAW I might have to buy an aftermarket suction cup attaching BAW to put on the right side of windshield.
then we can rename the BAW to PEW ( PERIPHERAL EXTERNAL WIPER ) and call them PEW PEW.

Yeah, it would be fine if your company wasn't the leader in turning the automotive industry upside down with innovative design and technology. That's 100 year old technology!
The wheel is 10s of thousands of years old. Tesla didn’t reinvent it either.

For the SAW are you thinking something like this?

If you are going to use a small wiper, why not just add more.

Your own illustration shows why your solution won’t work.

It won’t wipe the camera module!

Yup, exactly what I would expect when someone brings a " small ass wiper" to a swipe fight instead of a BAW.
Since I hold the copyright to “SAW”, I should note this is not the design. Granted SAW has some downsides (like added inherent delay in digital processing) and some kinks to workout (how passive air pressure will be used to keep it clean) but overall will kick BAW’s ass once in production. Of course it will take a lot more kicking given the enormous size.

Edit: SAW (WIP):
wiper will be needed only at low speeds.

Radioactive decay that permanently keeps the windshield above 100C. 1) Fits CT theme. 2) Makes many more CT available on the used market which eases the shortage of vehicles

But if we don't recreate the old problems to solve in a new way, we can't be different ;)

I think minivans are more practical than trucks for most truck buyers. Station wagons even more practical as EV (less drag due to smaller cross sectional area) but this is America and of all places CT is made in Texas. BAW may be here to stay.

Your comments reminds me of every time I was cut off by a DID (Dad In Denial) in a speeding minivan and for some reason this old super bowl commercial:

They should use a flexible windshield that loops around around like a conveyor belt, then they could have a fixed squeegee incorporated above the lightbar.

They might have to find another place outside of the roof liner to stow the tonneau cover though.

After rereading your post and looking at OP's photo (bellow), BAW is becoming even more puzzling. It is not like Tesla has not made EV's with invisible wipers.
