I installed the latest software updates earlier this week. Drove the truck yesterday and I noticed much worse audio quality. Specifically much less deep bass, and worse overall balance and clarity in all ranges.

Has anyone else noticed this? Any ideas why or what I can do to fix it?

I never touched the equalizer. I believe it was always flat by default, but I can't remember. I've tried adjusting the equalizer and immersive setting, but I just can't seem to get that same crisp, deep clarity in all frequencies I had before.

Sound source for this comparison is spotify which has always sounded incredible in my truck.

I've always raved about the amazing sound in the CT. Now it sounds like a Ford.

It's been noted by many owners that some functions will behave oddly after a firmware update, but they usually straighten themselves out in a day or two.

The working theory is that the update includes new firmware for the various body controllers, which are updated in stages. There are no "speaker wires" per se, as the audio is distributed as digital data over Etherloop to the controllers, and from there to the speakers. So a wonky controller could cause poor audio, or none at all from the affected speakers.

There's an audio test in Service Mode if you want to debug it further, but I'm betting it will resolve itself.
