Would you install the Alcantara suede dash on your AWD?

When you remove your dash piece, can you please
Lift up the cloth section between it and the windshield and grab couple of photos if it’s not too much trouble?
I desperately want to put a metal plate under that cloth to help me secure my Starlink with strong magnets and it would be really handy to know how it lifts and where there is flat clipless area I can VHB a metal plate to.

I had watched this video yesterday and he shows the front portion removed.

If you plan on doing this, go ahead and order the front defrost panel and the trim pieces that go between the quarter glass and the IP. They will break. Also tape up, cover really well, the ip itself. You can easily damage it when removing defrost panel. Get a couple lengths of this tool too

Until today when I picked up a loaner that was an all-wheel-drive, I did not realize that the Alcanterra was just for the beast. To be honest, I sort of like the texture vinyl better. Alcanterra has always struck me as something cheesy that social media influencers like for the sole purpose of impressing others. That said I don't enough to change it.
