It could be anything, lint or something. My guy did mine twice as well due to that. They did it without batting an eye and it’s been perfect for over a year now.

I held off on tinting the front windshield because it has so much surface area. All the other windows have been tinted. My main concern was nighttime vision clarity. Does the tint cause visual distortions at night or aberrations when headlights hit the windshield at any angle? No tint film is optically correct, so I was being cautious because my night vision isn't the best.

Quality tint does not obstruct the view. I did 30% windshield and it’s glorious day or night.

I did it for heat reflection. Clarity is definitely impacted by the tint at night. I would rather have a refund and removal at this point.

I got the xpel plus. It is supposed to be a top quality film. Although there is no obstruction, distortions are definitely visible when looking at straight lines such as road markings and buildings. I think it has to do with the steep view angulation creating optical distortion.

I dont really notice distortion with mine. And I agree that darker than most people go is totally fine night or day.

No, it's gotta be the tint/job that was performed. I see no such distortions at all, it's perfectly clear viewing and actually impressive so.

Below is the link to who did mine. They are a class act for sure. The owner made a point to personally look over the tint and then hand me a reimbursement check for what I was originally charged.

They also wrapped my truck in stealth PPF which turned out perfect.
A guy I know named beau moore. He teaches a wrapping class for a local company called flexishield who also made my ppf.
I met him when I went to the factory the first time to look at my ppf in person.
This was a long time ago when people hadn’t really done a lot CT before and he said,” is it cool if I use your truck for my class? I’ll do
It for basically a little over the cost of materials. “ “I won’t be wrapping very much of it, but I’ll be teaching and supervising on every panel” . Turns out he’s a very meticulous human being and they did an amazing job. Twice now.
Anyway, long winded story for this…I asked him to do my tint too and he did. Did an amazing job I think. Then, when my Starlink didn’t work under the windshield he took it off and redid it with non-metallic tint for free. Beautifully executed again. Great dude.
Can DM you his contact if you’re interested.

I’m gonna get it done again and hopefully the last time. I know majority of the people are fine with imperfections. My wife is one of them. She drives a 24 BMW x7. When I was cleaning her car, I noticed a cut on the side leather trim about 5 inches long. So I asked her to mention the cut during the next oil change visit. The car comes with leather warranty so it would be in warranty replacement / repair. She comes back with the car and unfixed trim. Her response was “I forgot and it doesn’t bother me.” So yes, attention to details can be a blessing and a curse.

Respectfully, her ability to accept imperfections is probably part of what makes your marriage work no?
thats definitely the case in my marriage.
I’m far from perfect. My idea of marrying up was finding someone who could accept that better than I can. I did.
