Now that there are a lot more Cybertrucks out there, what are your experiences with car washes? Are they no big deal (i.e. it's stainless steel, it can't be hurt)? Or do they damage something (stains, rip mirrors off, etc.)? Any tips besides car wash mode (i.e. do you put it in low height first)?

Thanks Cybertruck Community!

Some examples so far have gotten things caught in the gaps. And evidently can be a little tricky to dislodge.

Touchless ones are ok.

Haven’t take it to the regular wash yet, but I have taken to a touchless. Only thing was the wiper shaking like crazy during the drying process. I’d be more concerned with the regular washes, brushes getting stuck in between panels or cut by the sharp panels.

Sadly I can't find an automatic Touchless Car Wash in the Tampa Bay area, hence the question of people's experience with regular car washes.

Tesla also said to only use pH neutral chemicals. Any issues with car washes using non-pH neutral chemicals (in other words, do any use them, and if so, what was the effect)?

I've used an automatic car wash several times, braving the "spinning brushes of death", without issue. But it's the kind where the vehicle sits still, and the equipment moves around you. I've not tried one of conveyor-type washes.

I did use "Car Wash" mode tho. I'm unclear if that adjusts the height.

Just picked mine up on 5/2 and am getting PPF on 5/21. Planned to just ride it out until then, but we're looking at roughly 10-11 days of mixed rain in Northern VA. So I may just take it to manual spray wash just to get dirt off.

I used a car wash once and was traumatized lol. I put the truck into car was mode with the expectation neutral was part of it. It took a minute to realize I had no idea how to put the truck into neutral and basically had to drive it through the sit still type. No issues with cleaning it or damage though. What did I do wrong @CyberGus?

I used a stationary spinning brush wash once. The rinse left water spots all over. I am not sure if it was the water used or the hot sun that caused it. I will try the "world's longest carwash" at Buc Ees soon and I will report the results.

After starting Car Wash Mode, you need to "Enable free roll"

I find it odd that Car Wash Mode disables Sentry. I realize there is little of value to record, but in the event of a mishap, the video could prove invaluable.

Thanks. I’ve seen the “Enable free roll” mentioned in the owners manual but never saw it. Wasn’t following directions lol. Thanks.
