Light Bar Recall for 2024 Foundation Series Cyberbeast (6,197 Units Affected)

It's all about the Primer! The wrong primer used has caused glued the release.

Extra tape, glue and primer and brackets, SB2-25-90-001 is the anchoring bracket part number.
will be addressed with the service center recall.

Service centers will be receiving these brackets by March 1st, 2026.

Make an appointment with your local service center, they are also being restocked with new led lightbars.

B Pillar connections are still up in the air, most will not make the connection. legally they can't.
however, both of my Cyberbeasts the connections were made for me, Alpharetta GA and Milford CT

Get that list out of repairs and have maost o them taken care of with spring with the cantrails, and the light bar.

Now we know the exact number of 2024 Foundation series Cyberbeasts produced. 6,197

Yeah I went to the Alpharetta SC to get my lightbar installed and they did wire it. I wish they told me before I opened up the side pillar only to discover they did it already. Oh well. In the beginning of February I went back for the cantrails and asked about the lightbar, but they didn’t have the stuff yet. Now I know. I will make an appointment next month.

There is no time frame for compliance re : installation of the light bar brackets. I put in a request and received a boiler plate response that I would be notified when they have them in stock. If you don’t want the brackets when the time comes take them off the service request.

why do you need to purchase it?
it is only available for a 2024 FS Cyberbeast truck.
it's included with your purchase price
if you have an AWD, get an aftermarket, they seem to have more options and colors

I usually try to install the official branded accessories or upgrades.

The only aftermarket one that looks interesting is the xglow lightbar. But if Tesla offers the original one for about the same price installed I would rather get that.

I know they are selling on eBay for $1,000 but I would like to get the upgraded fixed version with Tesla installation if possible.

so you don't have a Cyberbeast.
I don't believe this limited edition 2024 FS Cyberbeast light bar will be available in the tesla shop for sale

Yeah, I am not getting the brackets. Mine was installed perfectly, couldnt be happier, and it has been over 6 monts

Mine is holding very well but to rule on the side of caution I plan to get them. Who knows the integrity of the adhesive in a few years.

I had original install and first recall install; both failed within months. I’m not hopeful for the flimsy metal bracket but eliminating the glue which requires attention to detail in favor of the tape which should require less of the service tech might actually function as desired. Maybe. Tesla likes arts and crafts too much.

Right, but if they are required when installing the light bar, I need to get it replaced soon. When you replace the windshield you get a new lightbar(I’ve confirmed this), and if after march 1st, they may be required to install it with the brackets.

Well you do have an option. You can remove the bracket after they install it. Before taking it in for that application pop off the side plastic covers and keep them. Two screws with a plastic insert can be removed. Above the plastic appliqué nearest the windshield edge they will install a rivet nut Remove that screw and the bracket comes off, replace it with the plastic pieces you removed. Just my .02 cents.
