Just got done with recall work for the cant tails. I’ve washed my truck many times over the last year. The seal they installed I have never had. I could always see into the side where the cant tails were connected. Always had to get needles and leaves out of there when cleaning. So my PSA is…. There should be a seal along the edges of the windshield.

Foundation Beast, delivered May 2024.
20k+ miles now.

I did not notice any change is cabin noise at freeway speed after they were installed. Too early to tell long term but so far my kw/mi went down a tad.

In the notes, from the tech:

Concern: windshield seal was lose

Repair Notes: The technician inspected the vehicle and verified that the windshield seal was

loose, contributing to the windshield crack. The issue was caused by the loose seal on both sides

of the windshield. The technician replaced the right and left side edge seals of the windshield to

resolve the problem. After the repair, the technician confirmed that the windshield was securely

sealed, preventing further issues.

Correction: Edge Seal - Windshield - RH - Remove and Replace

Well, watcha know, mine is also lacking in adhesion...
Yep, I've got this seal, but it's a bit wibbly-wobbly. I don't think it should be worried about it, though 🤔

I noticed mine was not attached properly along the leading edge, driver's side, about three weeks ago when my CT was in for unrelated service, and I happened to add this to the list of concerns. My mileage was around 36,000 when this occurred.

They reattached the seal. There were several new CT's at the SC, so I verified mine was consistent with the others.

I might have caused this to detach myself while pressure washing my CT a week or two before I noticed this. I'm going to be extra-careful going forward, just in case that was the issue.

Did they have to remove the windshield to replace the seals?
