For $70 I think these were worth it! By @BestEvMod(AOSK) / EV-Vida

I had already backed into a supercharging stall on the passenger side bumper. Now I’m going to have to be even more careful backing up this beast.

These are legitimately thick and I think they should hold up pretty well. Packaging was really good. The paint job which I assume was powder coated had some slight imperfections, but from a few feet away they’re flawless.

Nice to finally receive my plate after almost 3 months today as well.

Looks nice! I bought the official Tesla ones and they were godawful. I peeled them off and tossed them a day after installing them

Thank you! I think they definitely look sharp and I like the lines and how they connect your eye to the lines in the tonneau as well.

Bummer w Tesla. I just wasn’t sure from their 2 photos what the protector system was actually comprised of. They just appeared to be the same smooth soft plastic. They usually make better accessories, hopefully they’ll re engineer them.

Does anyone know if the CF pattern is a sprayed on finish or coated enamel? I am interested in ordering depending how the CF look is applied.

It was just a grippy matte rubber with 3M double sided tape on the backside. It instantly got stained by soap when I washed the truck and I concluded that it looked worse than a scratched bumper would

I installed those.

Hope you used some type of adhesive promoter.

I learned many years ago, to prep the mating surface and then apply adhesive promoter, peel the tape off, and then installed the product. This will give you a great bond.

Does if cover the whole cheap ugly thin plastic rear bumper?

Can you provide link to order specific item?

I used CMX surface prep. Hopefully that’ll hold them. If not I have the 3m tape on hand and will order that next time. Thanks for the tip!

I ordered and installed the same just after picking up my Beast in early May. So far they have worked perfectly - I prepped the plastic bumpers with alcohol before placing each piece in warm weather. So far they have held up well, I step up on them nearly every day getting something out of the back.

Need something like this for top of tailgate. Same issue there with cheap easily scratched up plastic.

I step on the black plastic OEM bumper cover all the time, I haven't noticed any problem with scratches. It's kind of a non-shiny black plastic so scratches don't stand out and don't really matter.
