Use a hand torch or a flat roofers 20/40 lb propane tank with his torch and create some nifty blueish purple tinges.

It can be done without weakening the metal, one just need s to be good.
Look out for what's on the other side.

I tested coloring the metal with a torch... on my 1ftx1ft pieces they warped and it would be near impossible with anything close to the other side.

I have specified liquid salt bath nitriding for a cam. Took 17-4 H1150 SS from Rockwell C30 to C60 (hardness). it is not the prettiest black but made the cam much better. They use a similar process on Glocks.
That’s it then – Glock Black Nitride

I suspect a wrap is the best option here... I wish Tesla would offer factory wraps for all their cars. Volume, being able to do it perhaps during the manufacturing process etc. could make it much cheaper potentially... Going 3rd party after the fact is $$$$... not worth it IMO.
I'd be tempted to do a wrap on my CT using the typical prototype vehicle camo pattern. Something like this:

With this wrap, no one will see my CT? Or will the wrap just bring extra attention?

People will question your ability to unwrap birthday gifts

My grandmother used to unwrap presents very carefully so she could recycle the paper over and over. But she would actually open the presents.

LineX is such a fantastic idea.

I'm going to take mine bushwhacking so anything that damages easily like paint or a wrap is out of the question.

Getting berated is a form of attention so it might just be worth it. We all want more attention; that's what we are getting CT's for right?

I'm curious how well the linex seals against air because a key part of making stainless corrosion resistant is how the surface deals with oxygen, but if you trap it on there it can damage it long term.

The colors after heating indicate that the steel is normalized or annealed. From golden-yellow to brown, than blue and white the steel is getting softer an softer.

Nope me out on that idea, don't want to blend in with the others......I want to stand out with the shiny hiny truckin on down the road.?
If they had a gloss black SS I'd go for it, as long as it didn't break the bank, but matte? No, I'll stick with vanilla.
