Hi folks,

One thing that bothers me the most after taking delivery is the back-up mirror. The only purposes it serves is obstructing forward view and spying on your rear passengers. Haven't found many topics about removing it online, but it's surprisingly easy:

All I did was pop the rear clip using a small flathead screwdriver, and remove the bolt using a TT20 torx bit. Tesla even left a little cover there to fill the hole after you remove the mirror!

What is the cable/wire for?

fyi there was another post the other day from a forum member wanting to see a video of the mirror removal. They were interested in replacing it with a video feed rear view mirror.

thanks for all of your photos and info BTW since you took deliver a few hours ago. Very excited for you and thanks in advance for answering our million questions.

There is a ball joint between the mirror and the arm, I'm guessing that's for holding the mirror in place incase someone pops it off.
Knowing everyone is as excited as I am, I'll answer as much as I can. ;)

Ok you asked for it. 😉 Two questions. .

-how is the leg room and head room in the back seat? Even with front seats all the way back. I am 6”3’ and am wondering if my head would hit the ceiling.

-where did you put your groceries? Frunk, cabin or bed?

Fine I'll deliver:
-I'm 6ft tall, with the front seat all the way back I get about 1.5'' leg room on the rear seat, and my hair is actually touching the roof glass (1'' headroom) when seating all the way back with my head on the headrest (better if leaning forward a little).
-I have a habit of backing in my truck, the Frunk feels to be the easiest thanks to the powered open and closing.

I'm glad the removal is easy. I'm planning on doing this myself as well.

That little hexagonal indent that remains would actually make a really good spot for one of those aftermarket "SEXY" buttons that you can buy online. Obviously one made specifically for that space and in the same shape.

Program it to something you use often like opening/closing the cover, glovebox, all interior lights, the optional lightbar or whatever you put on the frunk feed.

You could even fit 2 buttons on a hexagonal design.

Congratulations! I have a couple of questions if you don’t mind.

1. Do you have a short friend? I am wondering what the driving position is like for a shorter person. About 5’ 5” or so.
2. How was the interest rate through Tesla financing? This will be my first Tesla and I am debating on using Tesla finance or my credit union.
3. What is your favourite thing about the Cybertruck?

Congrats again! I am an early reservation holder but live in KY. No idea when then will ship here 😭

1. My wife is 5'5'' and she has no problem reaching the brake pedal. One thing to note is due to the geometry of the truck, there is no way for you to see the front hood no matter how tall you are, a little annoying.
2. I got 6.69% through Tesla financing (they did Wells Fargo), I believe StarOne is a little lower at least here in the bay area.
3. The Crazy TURN RAIDUS! Have to take a u-turn daily, was driven mad by my Tundra.
