Even at very heavy trailers, most makes the aerodynamic resistance.
Since I prepare to move 2.53 m width and 4 m high trailers,
my engineering department just works on first concepts for this.

Since 2.53 m which and 4 m height could be the most extreme example,
what sizes of trailers would You tow?

From all the hot air going around, use it to "PUMP IT UP"

Just use a tarp or a spoiler like a lot of semis already have. How come every solution with this truck has to be over engineered far beyond the point when the truck itself is Spartan and first principle on purpose?

Because an inflated thing is taut and rounded, and collapses when not in use.

How many miles driven would need to be done pulling said trailer with the inflatable in place to cover the cost to purchase it (ROI)?
Is this a who cares about cost idea I just want more millage per charge regardless of cost?
Can a inflatable withstand the air pressure involved at 80mph or 100mph to cover strong headwinds without deforming and losing its drag coefficient?
Will it meet legal or regulator requirements if required?
How would it attach?
Would it interfere with any cameras or sensors in any significant or detrimental way?
Assuming the charging stall is not a pass through and you need to detach the trailer does this present any challenges or added effort?
ROI related question example: with a cost say $500 w/ 3 year warranty will the owner be able to save $500 worth of charging costs in that same time? If it does, then that is a plus (pro) if not its a minus (con).

EDIT:
While this might sound a bit negative, when I work with software developers or other DBA's these are all the "types" of questions we ask ourselves so we better understand the viability, our requirements, flush out the feasibility and calculate our timelines (cost).

How much energy would it cost to deploy? How much in weight would it take? How much maintenance would it need?

There's lots of weird edge case questions. But as an idea, it might work!

You'd save money as well as charging time.

Possibly depending on ROI.... I would be guessing here but I would say you are going to have to do a very substantial amount of towing before your at the point of actually saving money if any assuming its durable enough to actually reach a ROI.
