If it’s only a 5min fix, shame on the SC for letting it be delivered like that.
Why would Ridge accept it like that? For the video?

I woulda been like umm. Can you fix that plz?

For the ppl saying it mustve happened after delivery. That's not better lol

Maybe Elon is right on the fix, maybe not. WHAT WE KNOW he is wrong about, is the fact that he seems to believe it is perfectly acceptable to deliver a $100k+ (brand new) vehicle to a customer like this. 5 mins? then what is the excuse for delivering that way???

100% especially to MKBHD. He doesn't have a common name.

Also, why would he accept it like that? For the video?

Purely for clicks, and pretty low considering the exclusive looks at products Tesla provides him.

However, i don't feel too bad for Tesla currently as i sit here over 70 days with no VIN assigned on my CT. Tesla, maybe focus more on getting the product to regular people who wont sell out minor quirks for youtube views.

Saw the video last night. Pretty obvious it wasn't a 'door fit' issue, but rather the door wasn't fully shutting. So I didn't think anything of it (thought maybe it was a bad hinge). đź’… Plus everyone knows these launch day Cyberbeasts are practically RCs. It's a little sad none of these influencers who've hammered their beast for promotion like a circus animal all these weeks haven't bothered to take their poor beast into service and get it looked at instead of just living with it. I would support influencers jumping the mobile service line. Heck, if I were a service tech, I would even fix it myself in OT and be sure to let my manager know I personally went above and beyond to help avert a PR disaster for Tesla.

It’s not his it’s a review unit. Probably didn’t want to wait for another one if it couldn’t get serviced immediately.

Not MKBHD's truck, that was supplied by Ridge for the review. You'd have to ask Ridge why they accepted it.

If it was a door striker torque issue I'd just bust out a torque wrench, ask for the spec, and tighten it up. Problem solved. No service appointment needed.

Hint, hint. Elon, I'm happy to do these things myself. Is there a 'DIY Ability' priority ranking system as well?

It wasn't tightened enough, so the probability is that is was fine on delivery, but loosen up shortly thereafter, and now sits where it does...
It was not delivered that way when it was delivered it was fine and then the part became loose and it happened then before Ridge got it fixed he did the review on it
How is that better?
