I don’t think you can stamp aluminum at all. It’s too brittle.

Extrusion is usually more like this.

You can, but usually it's heat treated. It's all about 'how deep can you press it?' and 'how sharp of details can you imprint on it?' Aluminum isn't so good on the latter.

Most cooking ware (pots and pans) is stamped aluminum.

Do you think that they don’t know what they are doing? You can go back and review they isolation pits they made early in the construction process. Plenty adequate.
