how do you know they *are* excited, versus Tesla attempting to excite them?

your comment is baseless
You think Park's comments here are manufactured?

I think Tesla i trying to excite them, but clearly someone is excited.

I don’t think you can feign that kind of enthusiasm.

For one swallow does not make a spring, nor does one day; nor, similarly, does one day or a short time make us blessed and happy.

IMHO, a vault similar to this could be very useful, especially since the CT will most likely not fit into a regular garage. This could result in people installing outside charging stations. A vault, or something like it, could keep the equipment from being screwed with.

admit that I haven’t followed in a while, but when Ford releases the F150 Raptor (only) in China about 5 years ago there was a resounding thud

not because anything about F150 specifically, but because in China pickup trucks are (were?) seen as country folk agricultural vehicles with a lot of social stigma - I think that because they’re classified as agricultural, they even have to in many areas have all kinds of regulatory required stickers and whatnot across them

and further, in China’s cities (where almost everyone lives) they are particularly impractical to the point that many cities have (has?) bans on full sized pickups

now all my info may be stale, and full-sized pickups may have since picked up some steam since, but I just don’t see it having so reversed course that there’s any reason to think that full sized truck makers are targeting China as a legit market, nor that the Chinese people are champing at the bit for them

Yeah, though the pandemic may have put that in the bucket, now that those with money fled some of the cities to have their castles in rural areas.

Cybervault charger installed photos from China
lock it up from the leeches!

Tesla Cybertruck Tesla teases new product "CyberVault" .... what is it?! cybervault

hey @CYBER PARK

in China, has there been an issue with people who have chargers in shared apartment garages having their chargers used by others without permission?

What Incant tell is, is this thing actually constructed/intended to let the owner literally lock up and secure their charger?

If so, then that’s maybe an interesting idea for and insight into a market like China

Their “home” chargers are going to be almost entirely mounted in the parking garages of massive high-rise apartment buildings.

And I would believe a scenario where maybe fellow garage users don’t have the same sense of ‘personal space’ - opportunistically using other’s chargers.

So if this “vault” actually provides some security around the charger, it may be marketable for lots of urban areas.

In China, private charging piles are usually fixed in parking Spaces or garages with electronic locks and are not shared. Shared charging piles can be charged with electronic payment, which is very convenient. Cybervault charger is a slow charger, and some of those who like it may know something about CT.

Come to Australia buddy. No massacres here since the 1900’s.

We still have guns, just not the weird conditional acceptance of violence. Well… that’s not entirely true… most societies have some level of conditional acceptance but you’re kids aren’t gonna get shot just going to school.
