Great summary! Thank you. My only question is were the doors opened by a button or just opened when you are in proximity of the sensor and (obviously) have the card fob on hand or nearby. Looks like Franz stored his card inside by the cup holder.

I ask because I couldn't tell by the camera angles if Franz actually pushed a button or if he just put his hand up to the sensor.

I'm pretty sure there is no key to Cybertrucks we've seen hahaha

There's probably just a simple switch inside.

I could totally be wrong, this is pure speculation. But, if Franz phone was the key, none of peoples much appreciated but highly invasive hands on from this past weekend would have worked.

Could be a key card, I guess.. but I kinda bet there's a switch in the truck.

I understand you completely. I was thinking of that also. I was just thinking that the fob might only work in very close proximity by the person possessing it and touch the door a certain location. My Dodge Challenger did that. When the fob is in my pocket and I touch the door, it unlocks. If my family touches their door it does not open. I have to do it.

we have not seen a powered tailgate

we’ve seen what’s consistent with a power latch with a pneumatic drop

show me a tailgate going up on its own, before we’ve seen a power tailgate

Good point- we have only seen the patent which doesn't hold much weight (no pun in intended).

I haven't seen any new dimensions information from what we think is the final production model. It wouldn't surprise me if someone has used a measuring or Lidar app on an iPhone to get actual length, height and width dimensions so someone can update the 3D CAD drawings available online (sketchfab, turbosquid and gradcad (one from april 2023 that doesn't look right, front too long)). People were able to get real close and take lots of photos and movies from right next to the CT at Peterson's.
