An (initial) 350 mi range would be really embarrassing, especially with the Silverado base model having over a 450 mi range.
The 450 mile Silverado is their Work Truck (Fleet truck), starting at $80k before addons. I am not sure I consider that the base/lowest trim level for the Silverado. You can't even buy it if you aren't doing a fleet purchase.

A 350 mile Cybertruck makes a 400 mile R1T Max Pack or 390 mile R1S Max Pack look much more attractive. I’d still rather the styling and stainless of the Cybertruck, as well as the whole Supercharger network that comes with a Tesla, but 350 miles after waiting this long would be quite disappointing.

If this is true, stress if, maybe they’ll offer up a 450-500 mile version at launch but it won’t come cheap.
I think this depends totally on the price points. The R1T Max Pack is about $90k if I remember right. A 350k Cybertruck at $60k would be pretty good against a 400k R1T at $90k in my opinion. It really depends on pricing when it comes to range.

This.

Cybertruck doesn’t need to “beat” every truck on the market at every metric. It just needs to provide a solid value. Nobody has done that yet.

The drivers head is on the wrong side of the window glass. It’s a bad photoshop.
"This looks shopped. I can tell from some of the pixels and from seeing quite a few shops in my time." Is a meme for pointing out obviously fake images on the internets.

Thoughts on this rumor? I don’t know this guy enough to know if it is trustworthy
I really need ~200 miles of range towing a 30' Airstream. I'm trying to be reasonable on my actual range results, figuring on only getting 35-40% of the stated range while towing a travel trailer so the 500 mile promise put my mind at ease. 500 rated means 420-440 in real world conditions with normal payload and at least 200 miles towing 9,000ish lbs.

350 may be a deal breaker for me. 150 miles towing worst case scenario would be acceptable and what I've set my limit at. 420 rated is what I kind of figured would be what the actual Tri-Motor would be at release, and fit my expectations. If I can't tow my RV farther than 130 miles from a SuperCharger before I park to camp a few days at a NEMA 14-50, there'll be a lot of countryside beyond my range. ?

Crossing my fingers and hoping the first batch is >400 miles. I retired July 1 and anxious to hit the road. I don't want to have to wait until 2025*

*I reserved during the reveal presentation (RN112754980). Ought to be a fairly early customer

Tesla Reservation numbers are not vehicle specific, they are shared across product lines. Because of this, it's likely not 3 million. It also makes it difficult to know how many there are without Tesla telling us.

The best guesstimate based on data with a lot of assumptions from the people maintaining the Cybertruck reservation tracker is a little north of 1 million if I recall.
Thanks Josh. The Tesla rep who was just at the factory, picked up his information from Tesla people who were at the recent showcase. Hard to know for sure if the info is accurate, but he was pretty definite on the 3 million orders.

All I know is, if it's only 350 miles, I'll definitely be flipping my ~1000 RN on Bring a Trailer

That number is crazy if true! A million was already a crazy number.

I am glad I have an early reservation number.

There's been a change to the Tesla login website. They now have a Captcha step between email page and password page. Changes are happening!!!

That is not new. That has been around for a long time. It doesn't always get triggered though. I am not sure what triggers it, but I routinely run into it.

In a conversation which was relayed to me, a Tesla employee was complaining that they wouldn’t be able to jump the line to get their truck. I know typically some employees do, but sounds like it’s far from universal.
I have it on real good information that priorities have a separate queue and they are blended. Its always been this way.
In other words if Rogan forgot to order until today, he’d still have his this year.

So everyone enjoyed playing where is Waldo. See if you can find the most unapproachable, pissed off employee in the pic. Maybe the only non smiling person in the picture. It is kinda of funny.

Also mid gate or window pass through confirmed. Look at the helmet of the person who is in the back seat and sticking his head out into the bed. This is sarcasm, I think
I found her!
