I'm pretty sure the Camo wraps are done tongue in cheek like the "Not a model Y" wrap Tesla did when taking the prototype Y out. It's Elon's way of saying the established process is dumb.

I don't think Tesla is hiding anything for using camo. Elon did said, you could can get any color you want, as long as it stainless. Many people like the first wrap CT so they teased another camo wrap. Tesla is telling us you could wrap any color we want. It that simple. It make me laugh when other have wild speculation of why they wrap the CT.

could find a 100 photos of the naval “dazzle” camo (big geometric patterns), but not the Matryoshka doll mini-me approach

If air flows over it like a standard truck there are those that say an open bed increases mpg. With the way air flows over the CT it will be interesting to see if if flows back into the bed and pushes the CT increasing range.

If you look at a standard pickup, the mileage IMPROVES with the tailgate UP. The reason is, there is a horizontal column of circulating air behind the rear window and over the bed. This fills in the normally low pressure zone normally left by the cab, and causes a smooth flow from the top to the tailgate.

It will be interesting to see the flow of the CT. Of course, that is exactly what they could be testing, range with the vault open v closed.

OK!!!
Not sure how much that truck will cost but OMG. With a battery pack that size, it could probably drive cross country without a recharge.
And with a cabin that large we could let FSD do the driving and sleep all night in there.
I wonder if the glass roof can get a sunroof installed so we can stand up through it and look stupid.

Exactly. That's why they use camo. It reduces the trucks ability to grab attention. That is the whole point of camo.
