Surely there will be SOME people that will get rid of their CT, the question is when?

I'm sure too that some enterprising entrepreneurs will order some and resale them at a higher cost! ☹

You mean the resale market? Unless there are problems in manufacturing that are beyond warranty or what people can tolerate, I would be surprised to see many on the resale market for the first year and, if the Model 3 is any indicator, they may actually appreciate.

I plan to keep mine for at least 20 years, but i have had a truck before so i know what driving and parking one is like.
There are a lot of folks buying one who have never had or even driven a truck. Many will quickly realize they don't like such a big vehicle or it's impractical for their living situation and quickly get rid of it. For sure some early buyers will try to resell for a profit. But the VERY first available will be from one of those guys who hasn't even told their wife they are getting one. There seem to be quite a few from comments I have read and at least one...when they pull into the driveway will be told to turn right back around and return it! ?
So i suspect there will be qute a few early on, but they won't be on the market for even a day before getting snatched up! Good luck!

I'm plannig to keep mine for a long while as well. However if they do come out with 'the tight world' version I may be tempted to change up. Never been a fan of full size pickups.
I would keep the full size for family outings and buy a small one for my offroad and lowered canyon racer toy truck.
Bigger is not always better. I would think the smaller short wheelbase would be better at offroad and more playful. I would absolutely love a 2 door, small Cybertruck.

I’ve ordered a tri-motor and a dual motor. Both in the 81,xxxx order #. Planning to purchase both and keep the one I prefer. I’ll then sell the other which will have extremely low miles for the same as I paid. But NO test drives! (both have $7k FSD)

There are 2 Model Y's on eBay motors right now. I think both are at or above retail.

So if you are asking when will we see it be a cheaper option to buy a used CT, I would guess sometime around 12-18 months after production begins. And even then I bet they won't be that much cheaper.

Consumer demand will keep resale prices high for the first three years or so. If the Cybertruck were manufactured by another car company you would be paying ADM (added dealer markup) to purchase a new one.

Honestly I don't know who buys used Teslas. They hold their value so well that doesn't make sense to buy used. Other than not wanting to wait potentially years for something like the Cybertruck to catch up to demand. Of course.

Yeah, I'll take mine without the market adjustment. I have one at home.

Phantom Footprints is anti-theft labeling...

“Exclusively designed by 3M for IAS, Invisible Phantom Footprints protects vehicles on six different areas with permanent, tamper-resistant labels. These labels are impossible to remove intact. When an attempt is made to remove one, a phantom image of the unique registered vehicle code number is left on the vehicle.“
