So, what are you gonna to buy, instead of what you imagined the CT had, that meets your criteria?

The EV market is so new there isn't a range of products that provides something for everyone. That's just the state of the EV world, my friend.

Very disappointed; five percent smaller, no pass through, only five seats, no stainless bed, was hoping for drinking water mechanism, no four motor option, and no mention of deep water crossing capability. This vehicle should be expeditionary class to travel anywhere on this planet.
Is this sarcasm? I can’t believe this is a real post

I don't think the 2170's will work in a structural battery pack, but I guess we will see as they are using them in the semi's

Must be. It just doesn't make sense unless the guy is a totally ignorant troll.

That was not my point. I was responding to the ā€˜broken promises’ of Battery Day. We already know that the Cybertruck uses the 4680 battery (and we have known since Battery Day).

And the only ā€˜broken promise’ of Battery Day is the timeline that the energy density, etc., would be on. Tesla is proceeding incrementally toward its goals.

i would guess a long haul semi would be designed with a pack that is easy to swap out so they could use 2170,s to get the truck on the road for real world testing. the pack would be something that is carried around. Not part of the structure.

That was not me getting excited - just stating what is known, and that has been made clear already. No speculation required anymore.

There are still many, many things you can speculate about that haven't been confirmed one way or another by Tesla.

While I do find OPs views to be trolling, there are times I wonder if what is being delivered is the fabled wolverine version. The garage compromise is a sad but understandable fact. Not going to stop me from taking delivery. But if a larger version with more capability were to show up later, I’d trade up.

No such picture. The one with the vault open shows a bulkhead reflecting the bed.

-Crissa
i see where youā€˜re coming from however where is it reflected from? There is no bright light source visible in that picture inside the bed.
Also, reflections are usually dimmer, not brighter.
Not sure why only the bottom is reflective and not the whole front wall?
All these questions from something that was probably a rendering and not a photo.
I was surprised that Tesla have left this part of the website untouched and so disconnected from the current trucks.

It's a render. The bulkhead is lit from both the reflection and the direct source and the indirect source.

If it were an opening, we'd see an opening, a difference in surface rendering, and most of all, no reflection of the bed.

Right - others see it differently. We all choose what we want to see.
the flipside is that the mechanics of the vault lid seem to made any pass-through impossible
