Kind of surprising a company can hold $100-$200 million+ in deposits for years without any governance. If they’re not gonna ship the product when they say they are, they should be forced to refund the money. You can still keep the buyer’s spot in line.

That's not a useful take on a deposit that can be recovered within 30 days simply by asking for it. In law, and in practical life, it's never a problem when the solution is simply asking for it.

The problem happens when you ask for something and the answer is "no". Obviously, that is not what's going on here.

I'd love for Tesla to get the CT out in October, even if it’s just for employees. They should ship one to every service center too, so the general population can check it out and the service members can learn how to repair everything. I’ve got a brand new Tesla service center right around the corner from me, so that would be perfect. ?

Well, we made it to another quarter... I definitely have high hopes that the Cybertruck delivery event will be this quarter.

Do you think the delivery event will be this month though?

I hope so. Seems like they still have more work to do. They could always have an event and then release it the following month. I feel like it’s going to go to employees first though, like the 4680 Model Y.

Was there an update from Tesla ?

It was supposed to be third-quarter so everyone was hoping it would be September. Nothings been said, nothing happened, now it’s October.

No official word on when the event is, however Tesla said in May "later this year" instead of "late Q3" as previously noticed.

It was a sly dismissal of Q3 being the time.

Having 'about' a month's notice doesn't mean it's required. Sometimes we know a couple months, sometimes only a few weeks. Tesla can be pretty mum when it wants to.

I was just going off what some people said this forum. I hope that we get less than a month notice and it places the event this month. ?

I truly believe that November will be the Delivery Day livestream event for reservation holders.

I think Tesla is crossing the T’s and dotting the I’s with their first ever pickup truck. As Elon stated, the Cybertruck is stuffed with a lot of new technology. A 48v electrical system, a new wiring harness design, no exterior door handle complexity, rear wheel steering, possible steer by wire technology, etc. Validating all mechanical, electrical and Cybertruck software is critical before they launch the truck to the public.

Hopefully this will be the month. I placed my reservation the first 30 seconds im willing to take what ever trim is available first. I’ve had my wrap designed for well over a year for my roofing company here in Houston Texas Certified Roofing and Construction. Really excited to finally hear some details and see my cybertruck wrapped in my roofing company logo
