But how is it now "wrong" to sell it back to Tesla? That's what they want in the contract isn't it? To buy it off you if you want to sell it???
Don't be naive. Tesla doesn't want to buy it back from you, they will only do that to prevent a secondary market from developing. In fact, when you reserved it you already agreed it was not for re-sale.

Tesla's motives here are noble and good and I'm glad they are taking charge of a potentially messy situation of greedy people mucking up what should be a happy progression of deliveries to sincere buyers, not people simply looking to scalp a quick $30 grand or more.

RN 11274... Really wanted the Cyberbeast, but the range, coupled with 120k didn't make sense to me. Also, the aftermarket lightbar is the only added option exclusive to the Cyberbeast and didn't like the look of it. FINALLY!!! May you all get your allocations soon! I also put down a $500 deposit for the range extender.

Edit: Non-employee, did not have a Tesla linked to this account, so it looks like they're actually going by the RN numbers, albeit prioritizing TX and CA

I received mine this evening but I'm not sure I can justify the extra 20k. Are they really limiting these trucks to 1000?
Possibly.

Seems like they are handing out the numbers randomly though under a certain RN.

Otherwise get the DM and swap it in a year for a non-founders, and pocket the extras. Plus you get it delivered now as one of the first. You have to wait longer for the TM.

The USD/AUD rate is a killer atm. EUR/AUD would be better.

But by the time the Aussie order numbers come up, I'm expecting the AUD to be much better... I hope!

There was one in FL, but I think the rest have been CA/TX.

Crazy question. My aunt has a house in LA. I don't know any California laws. But would it be possible to change my profle address to that and pick up the vehicle there? It will be registered in CA, but could I register it under my name in CA and drive it back to Pennsylvania?

Asked similar question in this thread. Just thinking out loud, but would assume some of the delivery event recipients don’t live in TX or CA. Just an assumption.
