IS it possible that Tesla did, say, take the first 100K or so reservations, threw them in a "hat" and did sort of a lottery?
I bet there was more that went into it than that. I bet they did some analytics to figure out who would be a good steward of those initial foundation models. There are tons of variables that would be interesting to consider. Address, home, value, other properties owned, social media presence, public records including indictments, job, position, estimated income.

These are things that Ford did with the GT model.

This does not mean other people not selected, would be a bad steward. Maybe they just didn’t have enough information…

Imo, don’t think the formula is that intensive.

My assumption on query:
1. Live in CA or TX (based on Tsla’s profile information)
1a. Maybe the 1000 Founders edition is exclusive to the above states since they are where the factories are located
2. Early RN range
3. Perhaps Tri model selection from early RN

Random selection from this pool.

Hmm I'm new to tesla. Didn't know that they would/will have it?
Yes. Not updated for CT insurance yet, but tesla.com/insurance has the S3XY line covered. I don't yet own a Tesla, so I have not experienced it.

Anyone?

I wonder if People “backers” who OWN and HELD Tesla stock that have “Shareholder Preferences” added on the Tesla website are ones receiving their cybertrucks first? “Shareholder Preferences” is on the Tesla site and that dedication would make a lot of sense coming from Elon. Whoever has already gotten their Cyber Truck order would be able to answer that one? Any thoughts?

From this thread and x, it doesn’t matter if shareholder section in profile is populated.

I rang my insurance company (Farmer's and Hagerty) last week re CT and they both stated that coverage cannot be assessed until they have a valid VIN#. FYI, Hagerty does NOT handle primary vehicles, only rare/classics - but for those they have great rates and coverage.

I haven't seen this YouTube video of the Foundation ordering process on this site yet, it details each of the options when placing an order.

i had to run this at x2. there's nothing here that has to be "studied". (I think we all can read)

I got an invite and do not hold a significant amount of shares. I really believe it’s location based. If you’re in TX or CA, you’ve got a shot.
