This is a pretty silly thread because insurance rates will vary more depending upon your address, your driving record, your age and marital status, and other basic factors than it will based upon which $100,000 vehicle you drive.

The quotes posted are pretty meaningless and all over the board.

actually this thread is super relevant with brand new vehicles insurance rates are heavily keyed into purchase price until data on theft rate, repair costs, crash injuries etc are known. Most everyone outside the credit unworthy (who are not buying this) is gonna be on equal footing for 6-12 months

I disagree that the thread is silly. And it is very relevant in the context of each individual comparing the rates to their current more conventional vehicle. The concern out there is that insurance cost maybe “considerably” higher due to steel panels yadayada. So people getting that info and sharing it is very helpful to others wondering how this might play out when their number comes up. Thanks for sharing folks
but on the other hand, for new vehicle’s companies, insure at a certain rate, and then adjust it, as data comes in with respect to the vehicle.

so while it might not be silly to confirm with these initial insurance quotes are, it might have very little to do with what the quotes are, or rate changes become, 6 to 12 months after these things hit the road and insurance companies begin collecting data on repair costs

Interesting thread. Since everyone’s driving record and deductibles may be different. Combined with the fact that it’s a new vehicle with no history, I’m not sure how much value there is in all of this.

No, rates vary by location and the neighborhood you live in. It's highly localized. Also by age, we know we are not all the same age. Also by previous driving record, etc.

It makes no sense to say we are all on equal footing with regard to insurance prices.

Was this for the AWD or cyberbeast? I am wondering how much extra insurance will be for the beast..
4x4 Performance is how they have it listed in drop down, only 2 versions appear as of now... AWD and Performance

Has anyone determined the cost to insure a Cyber Truck? I realize insurance costs are specific to individuals, so a comparative response would be helpful. Something like, I pay xx for my current truck/tesla/motorcycle/airplane (whatever you want to compare it against) and insurance for my CT has been quoted to me as xxxx.

Thank you.

True. But, but will give some of us ballpark values.

I use USAA, have a clean driving history, am 37 with a current Model 3 Performance, full comprehensive/collision/uninsured motorist coverage in Maryland. I have towing and rental reimbursement and pay around $110/mo. Edited to add this is with a $500 deductible.

With the Cybertruck Beast as a replacement vehicle, I was quoted $11/mo more, which includes rental reimbursement for a full-sized truck. Not too bad.
