Ha! When I replaced my M3 with the AWD CT, my rate actually dropped my $.30…

Thanks USAA! I ❤ you! Haha

Have any of you guys looked into insurance? Is Tesla quoting it?

USAA says $140/month with $1000 deductable.
That is crazy reasonable. I suppose they don't know how to adjust until they have a few claims. I am surprised they started so low.

I am also a USAA member. Insurance for my M3 was reasonable. I think the low accident rate for Teslas offsets the potential high cost of repairs.

Supposedly the rates are really reasonable, I have heard 2000-2100k annually.
Does anybody think Tesla provided information to insurers before the first sales?

This makes me look weird. I started a thread and then administrator combined it with another without an explanation.

These quotes are so much better than my 17MS insurance monthly payment. (Low risk single individual driver rate.)
Glad to see that I should have a lower rate than I currently have.

I also use the USAA Safe Pilot (Big brother driving monitor. With an average 90 rating with 30% discount.)

I got a quote for around $650ish for my 6 month premium with prog (so appx 110ish/mo). Kind of ridiculous actually. $500 collision deductible, $1000 comprehensive.
May change comprehensive though…
