I wish we had a legit statistician amongs our members, who could sprinkle some magic on our order list and come up with an error-banded estimate of total orders to date
I was thinking about this as well. Majority of the orders are for the AWD, however the TM appears to be further out on delivery. Common logic here would appear to be the availability of parts for the TM but I could be way off. I don’t know much about car manufacturing.

Oh that much is for sure

if you want the best (but still fallible) info on the background to that (available outside the walls of Tesla), go check out the VIN tracking thread - esp the last page or two

Tesla is currently building 9 AWD for every 1 Cyberbeast

that’s not an accident

the below posts and prognostications were all *before* yesterday’s updated timelines came out from Tesla

Build TypeAWDCyberbeastGrand Total
RC (600-724)10020120
MC (801-906)9510105
Showroom (1200-1219)2020
Foundation (0-1199)18721208
Grand Total40251453
Tesla Cybertruck 📊 Cybertruck SUBMITTED ORDERS Tracking List & Stats [Add Yours!] 1702738669901

well, at least for now they’re not making so few beasts bc of low demand.

It’s bc it’s all they can build, due to driveline parts constraints (upside is it doesn’t hurt the halo of exclusivity around the truck)

demand-wise, check the orders thread for a rough proxy: 46 beasts to 61 AWD

What I was saying is that, given the build blend, the people ordering beasts will have a long wait.

so at the moment, they’ll be delivering 9 AWD for every 1 beast

Applying that to the order chart here, it means that all 61 AWD will be built and delivered before just 6 beasts will be built/delivered

or put another way, in the time those 46 beasts are built/delivered, they’ll have built/delivered 414 AWD trucks

at some point, the beast parts constraint will relax and I’d expect they play catch-up on beasts

that could be weeks, or months

but I expect more like months. And that this is why the Foundation order emails say deliveries for AWDF are between December and March, while deliveries for CBF are “in 2024”

WTF! Gregger rn was way after mine. ???????
I think @greggertruck may have benefited from some preferred allocation because he’s a $TSLA xwitter influenza

we just aren’t seeing other RNs in the 1130s getting these, except when there’s some other levers being pulled

to that point, people shouldn’t be be *entirely* confident that someone has entered their order info into the chart incorrectly when there are odd outlier data

it’s entirely possible that some of the earliest Foundarion units are still being partially allocated to essentially preferred individuals, in the same way the delivery event units were delivered to preferred individuals

not all of those delivery event vehicles were actually delivered in Austin, on screen

eg, this Is from yesterday, and this guy is the father of Lars Moravy, Tesla’s VP of vehicle engineering:

Tesla Cybertruck 📊 Cybertruck SUBMITTED ORDERS Tracking List & Stats [Add Yours!] ED70AF57-391E-4AC3-A800-989C745122B0

Just the same, it is possible that some people receiving these Foundation order invites aren’t in the same bucket as the average Joe’s receiving the order invites

and, if so, those people probably aren’t inclined to come make an explanatory post about why their data seems off

not to suggest there aren’t also some people entering incorrect info because they don’t understand the chart is only for real orders (not their pre-orders)

instead only that without more info we can’t always tell if it’s that, or the other explanation

I agree with that. Also IMO @greggertruck has put in an extraordinary effort disseminating information in this MB and other outlets and well, has kinda earned the right to an early CT…. Just my 2 cents.

That’s super kind. I’ve gotten mean DMs and comments, I appreciate happy people.

I do not know what was done for me. I just know I have an order in and can’t wait to share my experiences with Cybertruck!

I saw this thread and checked my account earlier this morning to see if I could configure my CT, so I did. I am a current Tesla owner, a current stock owner (not much), and a single Tesla recent referral (as of two days ago). I reserved a Tri-Motor with FSD on launch day. I am glad to see it finally coming together. Not sure how relevant any of that information really is to who gets chosen to configure in this pool, but I wanted to share it anyway. I am located in Maryland near Baltimore. Notably, I did not get an email saying that I had the option to configure.

I posted my information in the official site list a few minutes ago.

Good luck to everyone, and I hope more people can get on the Founders Edition train.

Man they really didn't honor that reservation "line" did they? Still no word. Wonder if it's because I just bought an X last month.

We can't wait to see all your video reviews and your passed down advice. I subscribed to your YouTube channel.

I know you are super excited and at least we can all live through you until our reservations get converted to orders. :)
