Hands On Cybertruck with Larsen Engineering: "an honest review"

Here's an engineer with a new Youtube channel sharing his thoughts on Cybertruck. He has some interesting thoughts to share and some nice images in beautiful mountain scenery. He only has 19 subscribers, his channel launched last week.

On a remote mountain highway they are enjoying the solitude at a turnout when a Porche full of people comes around the corner lickety-split. They come to a complete stop immediately adjacent to the parked Cybertruck. I don't think any other vehicle has this kind of impact.



I would like to hear more thoughts from this guy, maybe delve more into the unique design and engineering of Cybertruck, so have a visit and leave your thoughts.

The fact that the rear window doesn't open is something that cries out for a solution. I wonder how difficult it would be to replace it with an aftermarket slider. I would definitely buy something that addresses that deficiency.

Glass is a very rigid material. I suspect, given the way that pane is embedded in the central bulkhead, right in front of the load bed, that it may be a structural element of the bulkhead.

If not, it would be relatively easy to modify so you would have an opening window. However, I suspect its high location above the bed would reduce it to being for ventilation, not bed access.

Unless, of course, you simply wanted to toss your empty beer cans in the closed bed. ?

I would think you might also want to wire a safety switch, that ensures the tonneau cover is locked out and has to be in either in the full open or the full closed position, before the window can be operated.

I imagine the vault cover already reverses when meeting resistance, but I've not seen this tested.

wat? Why impose restrictions on how to operate the vehicle? There's plenty of reasons to do both at the same time

Sure, it's all fun and games 'til the family's beloved Chihuahua has his little head stuck through the open window while someone unknowingly activates the tonneau cover.

Agree a rear window would be nice to open, though I worry that would let in much road noise that everyone would immediately find very objectionable. And I'm not really worried about the Tonneau cover that he wanted Tesla to line up. Then hmmm realign the front bumper... I guess I've not seen that complained about yet other than here. Like that he looked at it all closely! Nice photos!

I mean... as long as the tonneau is closed, that's not a problem. Clean up trash is for when you're stopped. Or a passenger's duty.
