VIN seems a little different than license plate, in that LPs can generally be looked up through state DMVs.

I’m less certain how a normie can go about associating a VIN with an individual.

Did it come back with another email stating the loan is approved?

If no response after completing the loan application process, it might not have fone thru. There would another email nonetheless if it's disapproved.

The final step was registration name and address.

I just applied for financing and it went through right away pretty much. I have not accepted it yet as I’m getting another quote from my credit union to compare. That said, i heard back that it was approved like a minute after submitting, fyi.

For anyone curious, VIN not yet assigned 11280xx order, confirmed Dec 11, San Diego.

I'd hazard to guess that the trucks are going to 1, maybe 2 of the 3 delivery centers that they will be using to distribute the Cybertrucks at this time. There may be a little geographical-ness to who gets it them.

I've ordered the AWD, submitted registration names, but have not started Tesla financing process. Do you think that would stop the VIN gen/delivery process? I received the invite email on 12/8, but didn't place order until 12/31. Thought I had plenty of time before delivery and did not want to go through finance process a second time. Yeah, no one knows, but just wondering. If they are going to start delivering, maybe I should proceed with the Tesla credit application and loan. Thoughts?

If all the sections in the app that you can fill out, aren't filled out and completed, you will NOT get a VIN assigned.
When the VINs are assigned, the delivery team looks for a "VIN Assignment: Ready" on your account.

I don’t think this is true. I’ve waited to go through with financing in the past, which is what we’re again doing for this one.
