UPDATE ON THE PANEL GAP:
Ok, it seems there is a lot of debate regarding the quarter panel gap photo I took yesterday. So I took a few more photos and measured the gap. In my own opinion, I can't really tell unless I put my face into it, I met another forum user today and he agrees that it doesn't look bad at all. I tried to move/push it in but there is zero movement. I was expecting this level of build quality when I submitted the order and honesty I probably won't even bother to get it fixed. However, the right turn signal really bugs me: 30% of the time it doesn't work, I had to click on a specific spot to turn it on. This would definitely be an issue I'll address with Tesla. With that being said, be your own judge at delivery and I surely hope CT's build quality improves over time.
BTW, just came back from the tint shop, tried the matte PPF film and it looks pretty good! Should I go for it?
UPDATED WITH MORE PHOTOS & FIRST IMPRESSIONS:
Ok, I drove for around 50 miles locally and here is some of my first impressions:
1. Overall Build quality: A- for a tesla, a few misaligned panels if you look closely, the right turn signal control is a little glitchy.
2. Handling: Loved the "squircle", though just a little small for my liking, I can comfortably relax both of my hands on top. Steering is extremely responsive, and the turn radius blew my 22 tundra away.
3. Acceleration: More than enough for me. The motor somehow feels louder during acceleration and regenerative braking than any tesla I've driven.
4. Attention from other drivers: Too much! Getting a window tint first thing tomorrow morning.
I took a few more photos, sorry about the poor lighting. May take a roadtrip to Sac/Tahoe during the long weekend and get a better feeling on this beauty.
Cheers! (Don't worry, won't drink and drive).
More info / Q&A:
Oh another note, when leaving the lot, I saw 3 more CTs driven in by delivery center employees. Plus the 2 being prepped, must mean 5 more lucky ones are getting their deliveries this weekend.
My garage door is 15'8''

I did everything Tesla, Tesla financing (Wells Fargo, too lazy to find my own bank), Tesla Insurance (Geico is $100 more expensive per month and progressive won't insure it), maybe that contributes to the fast delivery. This makes me wonder if theyβre prioritizing financing type, Tesla insurance, or something else ?
Knowing Tesla itβs alphabetical by middle name.
Unfortunately no, the cup holder is smaller than I originally thought, the narrowest part holds a 12oz redbull perfectly.Do the mugs from the cyber beer collection fit the cup holders?
how wide is your garage?
My garage door is 15'8''
Wayyyyy better, tbh I think it feels more like a BMW X7 than and X or Y.congrats! How is the road noise in the cabin vs your Model Y?
This is most recline I can get.Congratulations! If you slide the seat fully forward can you recline it flat?
