Putting it through a CAR WASH and seeing what it does to the stainless steel. Is it going to come out with massive streaks, some sort of blotchy/oily patches or completely change the color/tone of the Cybertruck.
Yeah seriously!! I wasn’t planning on having to hand wash a truck… I was more than happy to run it through the car wash multiple times a week to keep it looking good if i had to… hand wash, that’s a different story

Glove Box Dimensions for the main compartment and the side one!
Is there any room under the front seats for putting any kind of storage
Does the rear wall of the frunk seem sturdy enough to put LTrack across it?
Measure the distance from the front wall of the bed to the tie downs in the bed floor - trying to figure out dirtbike tie down opportunities
Thoughts on bumper sturdiness - not for accident but just for use - aka stand on rear one, etc
Interior Lighting - white light sufficient for "normal" visibility

Maybe I missed it somewhere else.... but for some of us, by far the largest question is battery capacity / duration while towing. Especially since the Lightning was down to 150mi or so.

Can you let us know if it looks like there is Steam functionality in the car?

-How noticeable/comfortable is it sitting under the glass roof in direct sunlight?

-Will the typical flat "business card magnet" stick to the door, the sail, and the tailgate?

The only concern I have with the CT is judging where the front end is when parking, especially the corners.

I would love to get an owners opinion after a few parking stall attempts have been made.
Re front end and corners, can't be anywhere near as bad as my Ford F-150, no front camera.

dogs that big should be ok in the largest eg Gunner kennel

https://gunner.com/products/g1-kennel?variant=39378525814983

Unclear with the CT’s bed dimensions if two would fit side-by-side in the bed

true travel kennels shouldn’t leave the dog a lot of room - see again projectile issue

IMG_8145.jpeg

for in-cabin, you make a pretty good setup with harnesses. but dogs that big may also be a bit squirley with the narrow depth of the bask seat bottom.

so, the way to go may be harnesses combined with a quality “hammock” that permits pass-through of the searbelts

IMG_8146.jpeg

aside from the harnesses keeping them safe in an accident, it keeps them localized to the seat and not coming up on the front armrest

only thing you’ll have to consider is the age and temperament of your dogs to ‘accepting’ the harness setup. It’s often best to start dogs with this as puppies, unless they’re compliant adults. But starting as adult a bit of a dice roll as to how they’ll adapt.

if your dogs are already crate ~trained, you have eg Gunner travel kennels as a backup

Or combine both strategies, if they happen to after a long trip start to get to fussing in the harness, you swap them to the crates a while.
Largest crate is 28 wide so you should be able to fit 2 side by side but cover won’t close.
Looks like the only size that may fit with cover closed is two Medium
Case is EXTERIOR: 29.5" (L) x 20.5" (W) x 23.5" (H) / 25"
Highest point on interior CT is 28.66 and it is 51 wide. So you maybe able fit two facing each other and the cover may close. Depends on the slope and how high it is 20.5inch away from its peak.

no, cover will not close - but that’s fine, unless you’re driving deep cold. These crates are insulated for it, and most breeds of dogs aren’t as sensitive as we treat them

Depends on the slope and how high it is 20.5inch away from its peak.
A medium will almost certainly fit if placed sideways against the bulkhead. Not that 100lb shep will fit in a medium or be way to load/unload there.

the “eave” that is 28.8” from bed floor is actually 7” closer to the tailgate, meaning that the 20” wide crate would actually extend past the eave only 13”. At that corner of the crate side, nearest tailgate, there would be clearance.

roof slopes 10” from 28.6” to 19.9” over a slope that is 60” in length, or 11”

Conveniently, 20” away from peak is 1/3 of 60”, so even I can rough out that the height will be 1/3 or 11” or 3.6” - meaning at 20” back towards tailgate from peak at the wave will be 28.6-3.6 = 25”

The crate side would be 7” closer to bulkhead than that

so for people with a single dog, that fits in a gunner medium crate, this would be a good but not perfect solution. Good because it fits, not great because you’d have to get up in the bed to load/unload. No prob, but.

Can’t fit two that way, though - much less and be able to open both doors.

Can medium sized dogs comfortably ride in back with cover closed?
Gonna be hot AF in late spring to early fall but a mid size crate should work. All the way up against the glass

Thanks for the napkin math.

so CLOSE to being able to fit two length wise and being able to close the cover.
20 inches long (plus the 7 inches away from bulk head puts the height of cover just under 25 inches.

My dogs are just around 50lbs and they both travel daily in the back of a subaru With an OEM pet grate separating them from the back seat.

I figured some soft dog beds and the bed divider in the CT to reduce their space, close the cover and they’d be similar to Subaru trunk area would be just as safe if not safer than how the currently travel, which is considered perfectly acceptable.

Sounds like I am a bad dog owner based on the feedback on this forum.

We use a rear seat dog hammock. Similar to this, it not only protects the dog but also protects the vehicles upholstery, too.

We use a hammock like this for our 85lb shepherd, too, as well as clip her harness in with a short leash. Do we know if the headrests on the CT's seats are adjustable? I have yet to see one raised in the handful of videos I've seen so far, which would make hanging the hammocks an issue.

no, this actually sounds like a damn good idea, using the bed divider as such

the OEM Subaru/volvo cargo dividers are made for just this sort of cargo protection issue - 5lb hammers, dogs, or otherwise

And using the Cybertruck Molly bed divider would be a pretty interesting solution for you and @Cold.Truth with larger dogs, with some caveats:

put the bed divider up towards the bulkhead, open the tonneau, walk/jump the dogs in the created “crate” forward of the divider, close the tonneau. Reverse process to exit.

Tesla Cybertruck What questions remain? IMG_8150

the few caveats needing testing:

• the load/unload process is a little less than ideal, depending especially on how compliant the dogs are. If you have an obstinate 100lb shep, getting them in the bed then over the cargo divider could be a real chore.

• the other thing not yet mentioned because didn’t seem ripe before, is the prospect of a dog in the closed tonneau during warm temps. Cold they’ll be ok, but warm is a potential problem. There’s no HVAC back there, and little airflow with tonneau closed. And getting an aftermarket rear glass with sliding window may not sufficiently solve the problem (conditioning that whole vault via a 12” square hole, absent some jumper fan, probably not sufficient for any significant warmth

One of the reasons crates in bed work is the airflow created. One still has to be conscientious when stopped for any period, but otherwise heat is naturally solved in an open bed.

Curious RE the source of the reluctance to leave tonneau open if/when dogs are in crates? Range will take a hit, but otherwise it seems to me a perfectly legit solution for occasional road trips. For some, even daily trips.

if you travel with them regularly to the grocery store, etc., I can more easily see the inconvenience of constantly having crates in back. Or doing so during wet weather.

At 50lbs, if you haveonly two people in the family, the rear seat hammock + harness sounds like the solution for daily trips. My 60lb lab mix would go grab his harness to tell me he wanted a ride.

miss that dude.

Does the CT make the same whirly sound at low speed and reverse like any other new Tesla? Or does it sound different?

Also can you fit a standard set of golf clubs/bag in the frunk? Much appreciate the insight!
