It is just odd to me that someone goes through an enormous effort and they are a professional detailer/wrapper and are being questioned about what they are doing. Certainly, all that was discussed behind the scenes and what their options were. It seems ignorant (lacking knowledge or awareness) to question the basics of what they are doing like they don't know or haven't thought of those obvious things.

The guy was at Target getting materials. Could have bought a bucket or two. Not lacking knowledge….demonstrating it actually…just pointing out ignorance. Thanks for the comment Scotty!

What if you use mineral oil to wipe a thin film onto the car, and it didn't show hand prints because it's essentially pre-oiled? Maybe the fancy ceramic coat things do the same

Mineral oil never really dries, so it's just gonna collect dirt.

It's a nearly 150 year old cleaning product for metals. I would think so.

Dishwashers know about BKF. If a professional detailer got their start in a restaurant kitchen washing pots, they would know about it, but that's probably not a typical career path....

After watching this, I'm thinking better off to PPF wrap it and forget it. Plus maybe the PPF will help with the sharp edges on the sheared stainless panels.

There's no need to wrap a vehicle in PPF if your plan is to forget about washing the vehicle. In fact, it may be easier to forget about washing it if it isn't wrapped.
