Hey ya'll! Long time lurker, just filled out the form. Hesitated when I got the email because I am disappointed with range, price, and no mid-gate. But, I didn't wait this long for nothin!!! Have a second day1 reservation and will order non-foundation later if the specs improve!

Keep in mind that all of us here are a self selected subset of a CyberTruck interested subset of a subset who happened to find this forum and bother to interact with it. I think membership was at like 0.1% +- a factor of 10 or something? Guesses that this order tracker represents 50% or 30% could very well be off by one or two orders of magnitude.

As for how many Foundation Series there will be, I've never heard any mention of a limited quantity. These aren't the founders series roadsters. As a shareholder, I would be a little disappointed if they did not offer the FS to every last reservation older before they returned to the top of the reservation list for non FS order offers. Nothing in my reservation documents stipulated the options nor prices, so my ability to exercise an order earlier for a FS is just as far as my option to wait and order when the prices inevitably are reduced. Anyway, we all need to realize that here in this forum we are in a bubble of our own choosing.

The guessing is fun and all, but I take it about as seriously as astrology when I'm discussing star and galaxy formation. ;)
Guessing is all I have! You can rip it from my cold dead hands! :ROFLMAO: Till I get my Cybertruck, that is.

In all seriousness, I 100% agree with your assessment. We're a subset of a subset etc. I lurked on this site for ages until it started getting real for me. And there's tons on CT-interested people who just don't want to participate in forum chatter, they just want the truck. I can't help but obsess a bit!

(Edit: hmmm... astrology might tell me 'when Cybertruck'... good idea... will try...)

I'm RN11289.... so, I'll be watching for when you receive your invite ;)

I'm unlikely to order, tough.
I haven't heard of any new wave of invitations going out today, maybe they're all done inviting for FS? ?

As a share holder, I'd be disappointed if they did !

I want them to ramp up soon - and start offering non-FS CTs to everyone.

The longer the FS thing goes on - the longer it is taking to ramp up.

I think that the FS is part of the ramp. The FS buyers are the Guinea Pigs

I also want them to ramp as rapidly as possible, which I have no doubt that they are doing. Just because they laser etch some logos on the fenders and tailgate, and bundle a bunch of options and call it "Foundation Edition" has zero bearing on how quickly they can ramp up production. The FS and Ramp are not mutually exclusive. They could conceivably sell the FS Bundle for the first two or three years, and that's more profits for more machines in the factory for a faster ramp and then eventually the cheapest possible non FS offerings because the economy of scales was accelerated and paid for by all of the FS profits.

During the delivery event and proceeding quarterly meeting Elon mentioned "it will take,... , a year to 18 months before it is a significant positive cash flow contributor"... "think we'll end up with roughly 0.25 million Cybertrucks a year"... "in 2025"... So the better the FS conversion rate and longer those sales hold out the sooner they get to that 250k run rate and then surpass it while increasing margins. The deeper into FS they get, the more production lines they will have in operation the sooner and the higher production rates. It is how they have always operated and its all spelled out in the top secret master plan. That's why they were able to lower prices and still flex their industry leading margins this past year, that wasn't weakness or lack of demand, it was a warning shot for legacy auto, who all appear to be capitulating, to their own demise.

If I was a betting man, which I am, I'd bet the registered orders on this platform represent no more than 30% of actual orders.
We will see soon. I think there will be a time of cutoff for foundation series. At that point Tesla hopefully will announce or we can deduce which ones were foundation. Then then @Administrator will know the penetration for the demographic. I expect it will be much larger than people think which would help the site. My guess is 70% are posted on the site. Which gives the owner a captive audience. I am sure the 4 year wait wasn't fun.

I've been really looking forward to this tracker breaking 1000 units. It finally did. Now we can put to rest the theories that only 1000 FS units are being made. In case you weren't satisfied at 800, or 900, or 950 units, and actually thought 95% or more of FS buyers found this forum and registered their order... Now we have gone beyond 1000, making that theory not just unlikely, but impossible.
here’s the new goalpost:

even if they’ve gone beyond 1,000 total, has that been an expansion of only AWD FSs?

have/will they go beyond the originally planned 420 Cyberbeasts?

unlike the AWD FS, still getting EDDs of Q1, the Beast for some time has had an EDD long stop of late 2024 - and it doesn’t appear Tesla feels they’ll be making Beasts quickly anytime soon

just pointing out that going over 1,000 FS doesn’t yet/necessarily mean AWD and Beast will be treated similarly

From the delivered list, the 24th user has the VIN in xxx1000 range, means about 1000 cybertruck being made. The listed user here only represented a small portion of the total users received the truck. So 1000/24=41.66

On the order list, there are 1077 users, for the rough proportion, 1077*41.66=44875! This is almost the same as wall street predicted number for 2024.

in the earning release, someone said they were almost sold out for 2024 is true. And we know the latest RN range is 11285×××, that is 100,000 reservation. So i guess the FS is 50,000, with the FS take rate is close to 50%.

And for people whose orders placed in second half of January won't get their truck before end of the year.
